Senior Software Quality Engineer - EU Data Center

HP is seeking an experienced Software Quality Engineer to lead the quality strategy in test automation and best testing practices within an agile team. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills and a drive for implementing technical solutions to ensure product quality across cloud and physical products.

  • Applies developed knowledge to solve common and complex business issues
  • Works on diverse problems of varying complexity and scope
  • Acts as a team leader, providing guidance and facilitating decision-making processes
  • Exercises independent judgment to identify solutions in unique situations
  • Designs test cases and processes to ensure software quality
  • Develops test tools for efficient result analysis and test execution

Responsibilities:

  • Designs and implements test cases for software quality
  • Builds and enhances test infrastructure and automation framework
  • Develops test tools for result analysis
  • Creates quality assurance processes for end-user applications and systems
  • Writes and executes testing plans, protocols, and documentation
  • Collaborates with internal and external teams on test status and issue resolution
  • Represents the QA team in development projects
  • Provides guidance to junior staff members
  • Runs manual tests to ensure software quality

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields
  • Minimum 5 years of experience

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience in designing test cases and processes
  • Proficiency in Python programming
  • Understanding of IoT principles
  • Software testing methodology including debugging and test script execution
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with software and firmware design on multiple platforms
  • Knowledge of applications that interact with USB and Bluetooth devices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate product architectures and design proposals effectively
