In this role, you will influence cross-functional teams, lead major projects, and identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement across multiple technical areas and locations. You will serve as a technical expert, coach, and problem solver — shaping the future of how we build and scale our products. This is an ideal opportunity for engineers who thrive on complex challenges, enjoy leading teams and projects, and are passionate about lean product development and operational excellence.What You’ll DoLead major engineering projects or multiple smaller initiatives, defining scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets.Design and develop new products, tools, fixtures, and manufacturing processes based on customer and business needs.Drive continuous improvement by applying lean product development, systematic problem‑solving tools, and best engineering practices.Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and coaching to junior engineers, designers, and technicians.Perform cost analyses, define product architecture, and support agency certification activities (UL, CE, CSA, VDE, etc.).Conduct peer reviews, approve corrective actions, qualify new suppliers, and ensure product safety and compliance.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers to align solutions with real user needs and enhance customer satisfaction.What You’ll Need to Succeed• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field); advanced degree preferred.• 5–8 years of engineering experience, ideally in manufacturing, product development, or process engineering.• Strong expertise in lean product development, creative problem‑solving, and systems thinking.• Proficiency in process design, testing, PFMEA, design specifications, and product architecture.• Experience managing complex projects with cross‑functional impact, including financial and timeline accountability.• Ability to work independently, solve highly complex technical problems, and influence across teams and locations.• Passion for coaching, mentoring, and developing others.• Thermal process engineering experience (heat treatment, thermal cycling, furnace operations)• Metallurgical analysis and process optimization (material selection, failure analysis, microstructure evaluation)• Lead cross‑site initiatives to standardize thermal process controls, resulting in improved product consistency and customer satisfaction.Benefits: The Watlow Total Compensation PlanYour health, well‑being, and financial stability, as well as that of your family, are a priority for us.The Watlow Total Compensation Plan includes competitive pay and a range of benefits to enhance your career:Biweekly salaryMajor medical, dental, and vision insurance13% savings fund10% grocery vouchers50% vacation bonusLegal benefits #J-18808-Ljbffr
