Semi Senior Software Engineer (Backend) – Vendor Management tboJoin to apply for the Semi Senior Software Engineer (Backend) role at Vendor Management tboDescripción del puestoResponsibilitiesAs a Software Engineer you will actively work alongside other engineers to work on highly technical projects and deliver high quality contributions to the codebaseUse Java/GraphQL to design API to consume/produce data and build backend applications to power Wayfair advertising platforms.Use Kafka/Aerospike/Elasticsearch for building a realtime data pipeline as a backbone for the entire Advertising team.Provide superior monitoring visibility to technical and operational health of the platform using DataDog/GrafanaProvide high quality reviews, for both code and technical designsUse ecommerce business knowledge to convert the product requirements into a technical solutionSolid understanding of database management (SQL) and software engineering principles.Participate and manage on-call and production support rotations to support and troubleshoot system issues off-hours and during promotional eventsRequirements4 years of hands-on software engineering experience, with a primary focus on building and operating production-ready backend services.Strong fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems concepts.Proficiency and practical experience with Java (or a similar JVM language) in a professional environment.Solid experience designing and implementing APIs using frameworks like GraphQL for data consumption and production.Working knowledge of asynchronous processing and data pipeline components, specifically Kafka, Aerospike, or Elasticsearch.Demonstrated understanding of relational and NoSQL database management and SQL.Familiarity with service monitoring and observability tools (e.g., DataDog/Grafana) for troubleshooting and on-call rotations.Basic exposure to cloud environments and containerization (e.g., Docker).Ability to contribute high-quality code and actively participate in technical design discussions and code reviews.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustriesTranslation and LocalizationReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Vendor Management tbo by 2xGet notified about new Senior Software Engineer jobs in Mexico City, Mexico.Mexico City Metropolitan Area 4 weeks ago#J-*****-Ljbffr
