OverviewFunctional area: Supply Chain & SourcingOnsite or Remote: OnsiteCountry / Region: MXLocation: Mexico City, MXDate of posting: Sep 24, United.About usWe are looking for candidates who want to develop, grow, and dare to think new.Epiroc is a global productivity partner for mining & construction customers and accelerates the transformation toward a sustainable society.With ground-breaking technology, we develop and provide innovative and safe equipment, such as drill rigs, rock excavation and construction equipment and tools for surface and underground applications.We also offer world-class service and other aftermarket support as well as solutions for automation, digitalization and electrification.Your MissionThe Trade Compliance Specialist (Mexico) ensures all import and export operations in Mexico comply with Mexican customs regulations as well as international trade regulations.In this role, you will manage customs documentation, free trade agreement (FTA) qualification (USMCA, EU-MX, MX-Colombia), tariff classification, and post-entry processes.You will partner with cross-functional teams, customs brokers, and freight forwarders to mitigate risk and streamline cross-border transactions.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze and interpret Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) to determine eligibility for preferential duty treatmentCollaborate on HTS classification and country-of-origin determinations for imported and exported goodsMaintain compliance with customs regulations and trade laws across multiple jurisdictionsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate documentation, duty payments and reportingMonitor changes in trade policies and provide recommendations to mitigate risks and maximize benefitsPrepare and submit regulatory documents to MX Customs and other relevant authoritiesSupport audits related to trade compliance and duty recoveryUtilize trade data analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve supply chain efficiencyDevelop, maintain and implement trade compliance policies and proceduresConduct audits and risk assessments to identify and address compliance gapsProactively collaborate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to facilitate smooth customs clearanceRespond to trade compliance issues or violations and implement corrective actionsCommunicate changes in trade regulations and advise management on potential impactsOversee implementation of key Import / Export compliance activities by the individual businesses, and act as resource for the businesses for special projectsManage and perform Post Entry Audits and export shipment audits, and ongoing compliance reviews of the businessesPrepare, validate, and maintain import and export customs documentation (pedimentos, commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin)Execute FTA qualification and analysis to determine eligibility under USMCA, EU-MX, MX-Colombia, and other applicable agreementsAssign and review Harmonized System (HS) tariff classifications for exports of products and componentsManage post-entry activities, including CF28 / CF29 responses, protests, refunds, drawbacks, and post-entry amendmentsMaintain and update the Global Trade Services (GTS) or ERP trade compliance module in accordance with current regulationsLiaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government authorities (SAT, DGA) to resolve compliance issues and ensure timely clearanceMonitor changes in Mexican customs legislation, FTA rules, and import / export controls; communicate updates anddeliver targeted training to stakeholdersSupport internal and external trade compliance audits and investigations; prepare documentation and implement corrective actions as neededMaintain accurate and complete recordkeepingAdditional duties and responsibilities as requiredOngoing training as requiredPreferred Qualifications and EducationExperience and a strong knowledge of trade compliance, customs regulations, international trade agreementsPast experience analyzing and working with Free Trade AgreementsBS in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or equivalentFluently Bilingual (English and Spanish);
