Come work for Big Language Solutions as an VRI Independent ContractorSummary: Provide interpreting services via VRI-Video Remote Interpreting to our customers and their clients all from the comfort of your home.At Big Language Solutions we believe in connecting the world through communication.We believe in providing our clients with top tier language services and providing our vendor with a diverse, professional and respectful work environment and job opportunities.Video Interpreter Responsibilities:Provide effective video remote interpreting service for clientsProfessional and courteous behaviorStrong ability and passion for interpretation and customer serviceKnowledge of the interpreter Code of EthicsAt least 2 years of medical interpreting experienceVRI Technology Requirements:Windows based PC with Windows 10 or 11 updated to the latest version and have updates enabled for both OS and other Microsoft products.A good quality USB headset that has noise cancellation in the microphoneA Stable ETHERNET connection connected directly to the modem.Spoken Language Qualifications:Fluent and have strong verbal communication skills in both, English and Spanish.Must have at least 2-5 years of medical interpreting experience.Credentialed in medical interpreting preferredRespect for and understanding of our Limited English Proficient (LEP) clients, culture, dialect and beliefs and preferences as it relates to legal/medical care.Familiarity with the medical profession and its privacy laws (HIPAA) as well as other state and federals laws applied to medical interpreting.Job Type: ContractRate: $.18/per min
