You will alsobe joining a team that is highly engaged, driven and collaborative.How you can make an impact: - Track record of successfullydelivering generator interconnection, load interconnection ortransmission planning projects across multiple ISOs/RTOs and/orUtilities in the Eastern Interconnect (PJM, NYISO, ISO-NE, SERC,MISO, SPP, etc) or ERCOT. - Provide technical and competitiveinsight throughout the development, interconnection, and operationphases of projects. - Serve as a subject matter expert on generatorinterconnection or load interconnection related studies by leadingand conducting analyses related to load flow, transient stabilityand short circuit. - Passionate about solving difficult technicalproblems, providing innovative solutions and taking ownership ofthe solutions provided. - In-depth knowledge of at least one butpreferably several of the following software packages: PSSE, TARA,PSLF, ASPEN, PSCAD and PROMOD. - Identify optimal strategy forproject interconnection to the grid based on system impacts andgrid capacity. - Collaborate with other teams within EPE to providestrategic guidance on market trends and process change acrossmultiple ISO's In the Eastern Interconnect - Develop and maintainrelationships with key stakeholders, including clients, industryorganizations, and regulatory agencies. - Stay up to date withemerging technologies, market innovations, and best practices inthe energy industry to enhance the organization's offerings andcapabilities. - Carry out additional duties as assigned - Ensurethat every document generated by the Power Systems Engineer(s)assigned to a project is prepared, checked, and approved inaccordance with EPE's quality management standards and withouterrors. - Take responsibility for the timely completion of assignedprojects while meeting all project quality and budget objectives. -Interact with clients to seek input and address their needs andconcerns regarding the project(s) under study. - Assist inpreparation of responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) byproviding a scope of work and time estimates for new projects. -Provide training and mentorship to junior team members to build astrong and knowledgeable team. - Participate in industryconferences, seminars, and workshops to stay informed about newdevelopments in the interconnection industry and network with otherprofessionals in the field.
