Regional Legal LeaderOur organization seeks a seasoned Regional Legal Leader to spearhead the development and execution of strategic legal initiatives across Latin America.Key Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with labor, tax, commercial, environmental, and regulatory requirements across the region.- Develop, implement, and monitor compliance policies aligned with global and local standards.- Lead corporate governance activities, including legal entity management, corporate records, powers of attorney, and statutory obligations.- Manage the integration of legal processes for mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence, risk assessment, negotiations, closing, and post-acquisition integration.- Provide strategic legal counsel to regional leadership and business units on contracts, regulatory issues, labor matters, corporate structure, and litigation.- Draft, review, and negotiate key commercial contracts with clients, suppliers, distributors, and partners.- Coordinate and oversee litigation, legal disputes, and negotiations across the region.- Select, manage, and evaluate external law firms, ensuring quality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with corporate legal standards.- Align and coordinate local legal teams under a unified legal and compliance framework.- Act as a liaison with Global Legal, ensuring the execution of policies, ethical standards, and governance requirements.Required Skills and Qualifications- Proven experience in leading legal teams and developing strategic legal initiatives.- Excellent communication, negotiation, and project management skills.- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.- Strong knowledge of labor, tax, commercial, environmental, and regulatory laws across Latin America.- Experience in managing external law firms and evaluating their quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.BenefitsThe successful candidate will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, including opportunities for professional growth and development.OthersThis role offers a unique opportunity to lead the development of our legal function in Latin America and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.
