DESCRIPTIONLocation where this role can be hired :GuanajuatoNeed to relocate?Ask your recruiter about our relocation support benefits and eligibility.At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth.To get there, we need exceptionally talented, bright, and driven people.Amazon is one of the most recognizable brand names in the world, and we distribute millions of products each year to our loyal customers.The Operations Manager role is a strategic part of coordinating our operations both inside the building and outside on route.As an Ops Manager, you will be a key strategic piece in delivering results.You will develop a team of more junior managers who are starting their careers, guiding them towards success.This position requires a strong attention to operational metrics and the ability to coordinate a team to deliver results.Required SkillsStrong communication abilities to effectively interact with team members at all levelsHigh level of empathy to understand and address team members' needs and concernsLeadership and mentoring capabilitiesAnalytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to make data-driven decisionsThe three key areas you will always focus on are safety, service quality, customer experience, and productivity of your department.Main activities :Review the operational forecast and determine productivity requirements for sort operations; manage a team to meet all building goalsSupport all safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all associates and Delivery Service ProvidersProactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and implement Lean toolsAnalyze operational metrics and develop strategies to improve performanceMentor and develop junior managers, fostering their growth and enhancing team capabilitiesBuild and maintain strong relationships with team members through effective communication and empathetic leadershipSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :You will be part of the Amazon Logistics Team, responsible for the day-to-day management of the delivery station, overseeing operations that focus on delivering Amazon orders directly to customersLead a team of Process Assistants and Delivery Service Providers in daily management of the delivery station, including meetings, training sessions, assigning job duties, and communicating with DSPs, including management representatives and their driversEnsure a safe workplace, properly trained personnel, and address team needs so they can focus on their jobsCoordinate operations both within the facility and for on-route activitiesCreate an inclusive work environment where team members feel valued and heardAdditional responsibilities :Lead change at internet speed, as innovation has made us the global company we are todayRoute shipments within the AMZL coverage areaSupport and assign job duties to process assistantsAdapt to sudden changes and growth according to operational necessitiesTrack & monitor sorting operation and driver dispatchStand and / or walk an average of 5 miles dailyBASIC QUALIFICATIONSWork a flexible schedule / shift / work area, including weekends, nights, and / or holidaysA completed Bachelor's Degree or 2+ years Amazon experience.5+ years of General Experience3+ Year(s) as people manager (5+ direct reports)English advanced proficiency (C1)PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience#J-*****-Ljbffr
