Astute Electronics is a leading global distributor of electronic components.Established in ****, for over three decades, Astute has been a trusted partner to many of the world's largest, most respected defense Primes, OEMs and electronics manufacturers.We have over 200 employees worldwide and operate in more than 25 countries.We're looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team in Guadalajara, Mexico.Continue reading for more information on our Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist position.The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist is a skilled accounting position responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical services to the Astute Electronics Inc organization, specifically performing accounting and clerical duties related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions.Accounts Payable duties include processing invoices and completing payments and controlling expenses by receiving payments, plus processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Keep track of all payments and expenditures, including, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc- Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances- Maintain historical records- Pay vendors by ACH/Wire and ensure payment is received for outstanding credit; generally responding to all vendor enquiries regarding finance- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date- Prepare analysis of accounts and produce monthly reports- Assist with month, quarter, and fiscal year end closing- Maintain confidentiality or organizational information- Continuous improvement of the accounts payable process**Requirements**:The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy- Sense of urgency- Change tolerant- Fast learner- Commercial awareness- Ability to meet deadlines- You must be a great team player, collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a great team working atmosphereHigh School diploma or equivalentPreferred: College Degree (Accounting, Business, related field, or equivalent) or 1+ years relatable accounting experience.- Proficient in data entry and management- Problem solving skills- Multitasking skills- Strong organizational and administrative skills- Strong communication skills: oral/writtenLanguage, Mathematical, And/OR Reasoning Ability:- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.-- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.- Ability to communicate in a high-pressure environment.**Benefits**:
