In the position as a PD Academy Software Engineer, you will be learning and collaborating in our efforts to develop sensors, ECUs, models, and software.The person in this software position is passionate about the overall Software Development of new features.PD Academy Software Engineers will work with Requirements Engineers, Software developers, Testers, and Technical Product Managers in Agile scrum teams to deliver both product capability and automated tests for the assigned feature.**Preferred Qualifications**:- Good wired and wireless network troubleshooting skills (familiarity with SW components, protocols/standards, etc.)- Awareness on secure coding practices and modern software development methodology, such as pair programming, test-first/test-driven development OR singular focus programming.- Basic experience or awareness of defect tracking systems (ie: JIRA), and source code versioning control systems (GitHub)- Basic experience or awareness with CI/CD (continuous integration/continuous deployment) systems (e.g.: Jenkins).Understanding of industry Software Quality Assurance standards (ASPICE, ISTQB, ASAM, INCOSE, etc.).**What you'll be able to do**:- Collaborate on SW Development projects (e.g. iOS / Android platforms, Apps (web, desktop, embedded).- Collaborate on the design, planning, and execution of test methods and automation scripts for requirements verification purposes, at multiple integration / solution levels.- Collaborate and Lead incidents triage (contributing to Risk assessment definition), performs root cause analysis, and Designs Preventive Actions.- Use Test Management tools for test planning creation, execution, monitoring (proficient key metrics interpretation for Test Strategy definition), and reporting of Test Results.- Use defect management tools for defect creation, and monitoring of resolution.- Grow expertise with Automation tools & strategies, contributing with mentorship and coaching to colleagues.- Follow code artisanship best practices, quality and security standards; and contributes to the improvement of them.
