Appian Program Architect

OverviewWe're seeking a Software Architect with a passion for low-code platforms—particularly Appian to play a key role in shaping innovative solutions for our clients. In this role, you'll lead new engagements, guide technical discussions, and ensure our solutions consistently exceed client expectations. We're looking for a driven, technically strong professional with excellent business acumen who thrives in an agile environment.ResponsibilitiesDesign scalable and secure Appian architectures across multiple applicationsTranslate complex business requirements into well-architected Appian designs, including functional and non-functional aspectsDefine and enforce Appian best practices, development standards, and CI/CD pipelinesLead technical design workshops and architecture reviewsMentor development teams and support delivery execution across agile projectsRequirements7+ years in Appian delivery, with at least 3 years in an architect or lead roleStrong hands-on professional development experience with JavaExpert in Appian architecture, governance, performance tuning, and scalingExpert knowledge of Appian core features: SAIL, Records, Sites, Expression Rules, Interfaces, and Process ModelsProven experience designing enterprise-scale Appian applications, including integrations with external systems (REST/SOAP, databases, identity providers)Strong understanding of Appian DevOps practices, environments, and version controlStrong capabilities in understanding client needs and crafting tailored solutionsTraceable experience with technical solution design, backlog creation, including detailed technical requirements covering functional and non-functional requirementsStrong background in providing accurate estimationsDemonstrable experience with best practices and design patterns when designing distributed systems, systems integrations and MicroservicesExperience working in the development and integration of large-scale solutions involving multiple technologiesHands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCPStrong knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps best practicesExceptional communication skills (English) and executive-level presentation skillsCapability of understanding business processes and consulting client organisationsHigh-quality organizational and leadership skillsExperience in planning and driving professional projects in an agile environmentA technical mindset paired with outstanding attention to detailBonus SkillsAppian Certified Senior Developer / Lead DeveloperGood knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum)Experience using team collaboration toolsExperience in the health industry and data structures such as NEMESIS and/or HL7EducationA bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field would be of great value, but if you're passionate and have the experience that backs up your abilities, for us, talent outweighs degree every time.About Authority PartnersAuthority Partners is a leading global IT services company with over 26 years of experience, serving clients within the financial, healthcare, insurance, mortgage, and technology sectors, among many others.
