Company DescriptionEtsy is the global marketplace for unique and creative goods.We build, power, and evolve the tools and technologies that connect millions of entrepreneurs with millions of buyers around the world.As an Etsy Inc. employee, whether a team member of Etsy, Reverb, or Depop, you will tackle unique, meaningful, and large-scale problems alongside passionate coworkers, all the while making a rewarding impact and Keeping Commerce Human.**Job Description**:**What's the role?**The Research Operations team at Etsy is looking for a Research Coordinator to join our growing team and support several key areas to help us scale the impact of research.Our Research Operations team plays a critical role in enabling our researchers to produce the insights at scale that Etsy needs to move the business forward.In this role, you'll empower the research team by recruiting and maintaining a healthy pipeline of participants for a variety of research studies.As a Research Coordinator, you will be responsible for the logistics of the research lifecycle from end-to-end, streamlining research team process and communications, and managing our research toolkit and vendor relationships.This is a full-time position reporting to the Research Operations Manager.In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy.This role requires your presence in Etsy's Mexico City office in an in-person or flex capacity.Learn more about our Flex and Office-based work modes and workplace safety policies here.**What's this team like at Etsy?**The Research team at Etsy helps inspire product and business decisions, using multi-methods research to guide the development of buyer and seller experiences in our dynamic marketplace of unique items.Our research operations team works across both product and market research.We collaborate with researchers and our partners through all stages of research, and strive to build an operating center of excellence which empowers researchers to deliver high quality, impactful insights at scale.**What does the day-to-day look like?**- Coordinating the recruiting and screening of participants for research studies- Understanding recruit needs, and drafting + programming tailored screeners- Recruiting customers from our research participant database- Adhering to data privacy and governance policies- Managing the A-Z of logistics to keep research projects on track, such as:- Managing research participant schedules and communications with researchers and partner teams- Coordinating day-of logistics for research days- Tracking and managing research operational items (e.g. NDAs, gift cards, facilities requests)- Managing external partners and vendors- Collaborating closely with recruitment vendors to recruit prospective buyers and sellers- Identifying and vetting outside research partners, vendors, and tools for the team- Owning the internal procurement and approval process (working closely with legal and finance)- Handling tool licensing and renewals- Creating and updating resources- Crafting team documentation and templates for a variety of topics ranging from team values to the recruiting process- Auditing team operations and processes to identify areas of improvement- Developing instructions and/or training materials for various tools and tasks- Keeping resources up-to-date- Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will requireYou should assume that your role will encompass other tasks, too, and that your job duties and responsibilities may change from time to time at Etsy's discretion, or otherwise applicable with local law.**Qualifications**:**Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are**:- Experience as a coordinator, project manager, or a background in operations, supporting teams, and/or developing relationships- Track record of being organized, detail-oriented, and delivering results in a highly efficient way- Interest in identifying workflow inefficiencies, and optimizing or improving processes and operations- Familiarity with screener design and survey writing- Your natural curiosity, empathy, and eagerness to learn drive everything you do- Experience with or interest in learning:- Spreadsheet / Database software, such as Excel / Google Sheets (vlookups, pivot tables), SQL, etc- Survey software, such as Qualtrics, TypeForm, or SurveyMonkey- The ins-and-outs of contracts, procurement, and vendor management- Bonus: Experience running ongoing recruitment and using research tools; experience working with legal/risk teams on data governance (PII, GDPR)Additional Information**What's Next**If you're interested in joining the team at Etsy, please share your resume with us and feel free to include a cover letter if you'd like.As we hope you've seen alread
