***The **_Mechanical Engineer _**supports new product development for the company's Thermal global products.The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the physical design and/or thermal system design of new products.This engineer must be a practical hands-on type of engineer who can start with an abstract concept and see it through to product launch.**RESPONSIBILITIES**- Creates/modifies mechanical Parts/Assemblies/drawings in CAD systems, such as Creo and/or Solid Edge.- Create and maintain Bill of Materials and unit configurator logic to select the correct BOM's based on options selected by the customer.- Works with Marketing, Manufacturing, Service and Quality to understand their requirements to design a product that best meets all of their needs.- Assist with prototype builds by providing technical support and providing guidance when issues arise.- Gather feedback from prototype builds and field trials and implement appropriate improvements to the product.- Understands the products, suggest ideas and improvements.- Assists with troubleshooting of escalated or re-occurring field issues.- Coordinate performance testing in the lab.- Analyze test data, diagnose issues and determine changes to improve performance.- Thermal system modeling to determine performance and correct part selection.- Determine controls routines needed to make system operate optimally and to meet customer requirements.**QUALIFICATIONS**- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.- Basic working knowledge of mechanical and electrical concepts, products and safety.- Basic mechanical CAD tools experience- Solid Edge, Creo, Solid Works.- Experience with Sheetmetal, piping and assemblies is a plus.- Data-entry systems familiarity - Oracle, Agile, etc.- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve (and prevent) a wide range of problems quickly and methodically.- Detail oriented.- Excellent planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills.- Ability to multitask and operate in cross functional global development teams.**PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS**- Must be able to work in the lab or production facility to diagnose and solve problems.**TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED**- Regular travel between Office/Lab and the production factory (both in Monterrey) and mínimal travel (
