**Who we are**Samsara (NYSE: IOT) is the pioneer of the Connected Operations Cloud, which is a platform that enables organizations that depend on physical operations to harness Internet of Things (IoT) data to develop actionable insights and improve their operations.At Samsara, we are helping improve the safety, efficiency and sustainability of the physical operations that power our global economy.Representing more than 40% of global GDP, these industries are the infrastructure of our planet, including agriculture, construction, field services, transportation, and manufacturing — and we are excited to help digitally transform their operations at scale.Working at Samsara means you'll help define the future of physical operations and be on a team that's shaping an exciting array of product solutions, including Video-Based Safety, Vehicle Telematics, Apps and Driver Workflows, Equipment Monitoring, and Site Visibility.As part of a recently public company, you'll have the autonomy and support to make an impact as we build for the long term.**About the role**:Samsara is seeking a talented and driven Finance Transformations Project Manager.You will thrive in high-energy environments and enjoy the potential of working in an innovative and fast-moving business.You will have a broad understanding of all aspects of finance, from tax to accounting, and be able to address concerns and easily communicate and escalate within the greater finance org.You will have a passion for finding solutions and working with customers.- **You want to impact the industries that run our world**: Your efforts will result in real-world impact—helping to keep the lights on, get food into grocery stores, reduce emissions, and most importantly, ensure workers return home safely.- **You are the architect of your own career**: If you put in the work, this role won't be your last at Samsara.We set up our employees for success and have built a culture that encourages rapid career development, and countless opportunities to experiment and master your craft in a hyper-growth environment.- **You're energized by our opportunity**: The vision we have to digitize large sectors of the global economy requires your full focus and best efforts to bring forth creative, ambitious ideas for our customers.- **You want to be with the best**: At Samsara, we win together, celebrate together and support each other.You will be surrounded by a high-caliber team that will encourage you to do your best.**In this role, you will**:- Drive projects impacting our ERP, Salesforce, and tax & treasury systems, working closely with external and internal teams to meet deadlines- Employ standard project management practices and tools to independently drive projects toward execution, coordinate stakeholders, and manage accountability- Spearhead the implementation of new software tools, including requirements gathering, testing, reporting, and hyper care- Partner with the business technology team to reflect business needs in system design- Oversee and manage UAT, including the creation of scripts, conducting testing, results documentation, reviewing and responding to issues- Support emerging markets, directing and/or supporting any projects required to get them up and running- Closely collaborate with our Accounting, Business Operations, Customer Success and US Finance functions to ensure we are always putting the customer first- Establish close working relationships with the larger Finance and Accounting teams, developing a deep understanding of all job functions to ensure items are routed to the correct team at the get-go- Create reports in ERP and Salesforce to assist with reporting and meet requests of the team- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara's cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices**Minimum requirements for the role**:- 7+ years of professional work experience with 4+ years experience in a project management or operations role, with a history of leading initiatives- Possess familiarity in finance processes and systems with analytical and problem-solving skills to drive project implementations- Experience working on projects supporting accounting/finance teams and accounting/finance systems- Demonstrated understanding of established project management practices and tools- A detail-oriented, high-energy, positive disposition and excellent communication skills- Proven track record of sound judgment calls, taking ownership, and delivering results- A demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects- Fluent in written and verbal English- PMP or Agile certification, or similar formal project management training- Have prior knowledge and experience in implementing Vertex and/or TMS (Treasury Management System)- Focus on teamwork and collaboration- Intermediate Excel skills
