Director of Business Development - Logistics Sector We are seeking a Director of Business Development to lead the commercial growth strategy within the logistics sector. This role is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and strengthening the company's market presence. It requires a strong blend of commercial, operational, and market knowledge. Key responsibilities Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients in areas such as transportation, warehousing, and distribution. Identify and assess opportunities in new segments, industries, or geographic regions. Lead the development of commercial proposals, quotations, and executive presentations. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and decision‑makers. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure the feasibility and quality of proposed solutions. Monitor market trends, competitors, and regulatory changes. Meet and exceed sales targets, margin goals, and profitability objectives. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and logistics associations. (If applicable) Lead and develop the sales and business development team. Collaboration and key relationships This position requires close collaboration with General Management, Sales, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Legal, and IT to ensure strategic and operational alignment. Externally, the role involves managing relationships with current and prospective clients, business partners, logistics service providers, and industry associations. Profile requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred). Advanced English, both written and spoken. Minimum 7‑10 years of experience in business development within the logistics sector. Strong knowledge of supply chain operations, including ground, ocean, air transportation, warehousing, and customs. Proven experience negotiating high‑value contracts and managing complex sales cycles. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Strategic thinking, results‑driven approach, and client focus.
