If you're looking for a career where you can make a real impression, join GSC HSBC and discover how valued you'll be.We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of**Regulatory Affairs and Policy Manager****Role purpose**:As a federally regulated financial institution, HSBC Bank USA, NA has a regulatory obligation to establish and maintain an effective framework to manage the risk of non-compliance with regulatory requirements.The US Regulatory Development team within Compliance is charged under the Regulatory Developments Functional Instruction Manual (FIM), with the responsibility for performance of the functions outlined in the FIM, which primarily include communication of Regulatory Changes, updating the regulation library as regulatory requirements are added or amended, and provision of reporting and management information related to Regulatory Changes.This role will provide support to the US Regulatory Development's horizon scanning, regulation library, and reporting responsibilities and provide oversight and training to the two GCB 6 Analysts, who will be part of the US RD extension team.Functionally reporting to the US Director of Regulatory Development, and supervised locally by the AVP, Regulatory Affairs (existing US Compliance team management in Mexico), the Team Lead Regulatory Compliance will interact with the Onshore Regulatory Development Team on a regular basis to ensure successful attainment of the objectives including enhancing the efficiency of the process.**Leadership & Teamwork**- Promotes an environment that supports diversity and reflects the HSBC brand- Drives excellence, consistency, and quality across the team.- Collaborates and fosters good relations with the Compliance teams.- Leads by example, demonstrating core behaviours and values including leadership, teamwork, and advocacy.**Customer**- Maintains a good working environment with key stakeholders including Onshore customers in Compliance.- Advises RD management on issues with process, technology, and data quality.- Conducts data analysis; identifies trends, themes and gaps; and develops and presents conclusions.- Assists with identification, tracking, and communication of exceptions.Escalates any significant data quality and process issues to Onshore management**Operational Effectiveness & Control**- Assists in supporting regulatory and business requests.- Escalates significant issues through proper Onshore contacts ensuring a proactive identification of process and risk issues.- Provides support on technical and process issues to monitor and report on all issues for areas of impact.- Provides support to RC in developing and maintaining reports and data to align with US Compliance initiatives.- Complete other responsibilities, as assigned.Requirements**Knowledge & Experience**- Law degree with over 1-3 years' experience in financial services.- Strong English verbal and written communication skills.- Ability to interpret regulations.- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.- Strong interpersonal skills; able to build and maintain relationships- Takes initiative to resolve issues.- Ability to support decisions with sound reasoning.- Intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn new concepts quickly.- Excellent time management and task prioritization skills- Proficient in MS Office suite (MS Word, Excel, and Power Point).- You'll achieve more when you join HSBC_At HSBC we offer our colleagues a greater number of days so that they can fully enjoy their wedding, take care of the new member of the family, or grieve the loss of a family member.Our paid leave package is at the forefront in Mexico, now you have one more reason to be HSBC and proudly live a culture of well-being, balance and care**Issued by HSBC Electronic Data Processing (México) Private LTD
