Master Engineer, IT Process Automation**Description -****Job Summary**We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Master Engineer to serve as the IT Architect for IT process automation and the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) champion. This critical role will lead the delivery of IT automation initiatives and oversee the full deployment and optimization of ServiceNow Discovery across servers, storage, and network devices in datacenters. The ideal candidate will bring a deep technical expertise, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and a strategic vision to transform and optimize IT operations. **Responsibilities**• IT Process Automation Delivery: o Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex IT process automation solutions across infrastructure and operations. o Drive innovation in automation strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce manual intervention, and improve service reliability. o Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams on automation best practices and frameworks. • CMDB Champion: o Own the end-to-end strategy and execution of CMDB architecture, ensuring data accuracy and completeness. o Fully deploy and optimize ServiceNow Discovery across server, storage, and network devices in datacenters. o Define and enforce governance policies to maintain the integrity and health of the CMDB. • Architecture Leadership: o Act as the chief architect for IT process automation, providing strategic direction and innovative solutions to support evolving business needs. o Collaborate with stakeholders to design scalable, resilient, and secure IT solutions. • Technical Problem Solving: o Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues, providing expert-level troubleshooting and resolution. o Analyze and resolve performance and integration challenges across IT systems. • Collaboration and Mentorship: o Partner with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, operations, and cybersecurity teams, to deliver high-impact solutions. o Mentor and develop engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation. ****Education & Experience** Recommended**• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. • Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in computer programming languages, testing tools, or a related field.• Proven expertise in IT process automation tools and frameworks (ServiceNow, Ansible, or similar). • Extensive experience with ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB design, deployment, and governance. • Strong knowledge of datacenter infrastructure, including servers, storage, and network devices. • Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. **Preferred Certifications**• Programming Language/s Certification (Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar)• ITIL certification is a plus. • Experience with on-premises, cloud technologies and hybrid IT environments. **Knowledge & Skills**• Agile Methodology • Angular (Web Framework) • Application Development • Application Programming Interface (API) • Automation • Business Process • Business Requirements • C# (Programming Language) • Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) • Computer Science • Debugging • HyperText Markup Language (HTML) • Java (Programming Language) • JavaScript (Programming Language) • Microsoft Azure • Python (Programming Language) • Scrum (Software Development) • Software Development • SQL (Programming Language) • Web Services **Cross-Org Skills**• Effective Communication • Results Orientation • Learning Agility • Digital Fluency • Customer Centricity **Impact & Scope**• Impacts large functions and leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects. **Complexity**• Provides highly innovative solutions to complex problems within established policy. **Disclaimer**• This job description describes the general nature and level of work performed in this role.
