Business Unit:Cubic Manufacturing and ProcurementCompany Details:Cubic offers an opportunity to provide innovative technology for government and commercial customers around the globe, helping to solve their future problems today.We're the leading integrator of payment and information technology and services for intelligent travel solutions worldwide, and the leading provider of realistic combat training systems, secure communications and networking and highly specialized support services for military and security forces of the U.S. and allied nations.If you have an entrepreneurial spirit and thrive in an innovative environment, we want to talk to you about your next role at CubicWe are seeking employees inspired by technology, and motivated by the rewards of hard work, commitment, teamwork, quality, integrity, and respect.We invite you to explore opportunities with Cubic.Job Details:Job Summary: Assists to prepare manufacturing plans using various engineering, design and manufacturing documents.Administers and analyzes production work flow for single or multiple programs.Extensive usage of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) system to plan, firm, release, cancel, scrap, allocate, move, split, overlap, create work orders and purchasing requisitions.This position typically works under general supervision and direction.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:- Assists in the management of assigned commodities for various projects and contracts- Assists in the completion and release of the manufacturing plans and support production delivery requirements- Follow up of parts and/or materials availability for manufacturing to perform the work- Coordinates with Shop Floor Control when necessary- Supports tasks include releasing of work orders and purchase requisitions, and project status updates.- Assists in trouble shooting the problems that occur within the production environment- Interfaces with Quality Assurance, Program Management and Customer for the shipping of final product- Assists in evaluating Project requirements using information from Manufacturing Schedule and MRP reports- Maintains record of project status- Understands lot sizing and its impact on production flow- Understands how material order policies and lead-times effect the production schedule- Operates under mínimal supervision and can assist other planners as requested- Must be familiar with material management and cross-trained as needed- Maintains material requisitions, planned orders, and inventory transaction records on-line and hardcopy- Publishes a Production Plan based on customer's commit dates.Minimum Job Requirements:- One-year degree, or equivalent.- Knowledge of production expediting, coordinating, or planning experience in a manufacturing preferred.- Must have general knowledge of Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.- Knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOM) and their working relationships with parts list.Worker Type:Employee
