**About Us**At Wise Athena, we harness the power of AI to assist CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) companies in predicting the right price.We are looking for a hands-on, strategic **Head of Finance** to lead our finance function, manage our global accounting and financial operations, and support our ambitious growth plans.**Who are you?**This role requires a seasoned finance leader who is equally comfortable defining strategic financial direction and rolling up their sleeves to execute day-to-day tasks.You'll manage the finances of both our US and Spanish entities, while ensuring our operations in Latin America run smoothly.**Key Responsibilities**- Oversee the full accounting cycle for **Wise Athena Inc. (US)** and **Wise Athena SL (Spain)**.- Ensure timely and accurate payment processing, including salaries for both entities.- Manage **Accounts Receivable**: issuing invoices, managing collections, and ensuring cash flow health, particularly for clients in Latin America.- Lead risk management efforts, identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial, operational, and compliance risks across all regions.- Ensure regulatory compliance in all operating jurisdictions, including financial reporting standards, tax laws, and industry-specific regulations- Ensure accurate product quotations for clients.- Prepare periodic financial reports for both entities.- Review, develop, and ensure all agreements with customers comply with company policies.- Lead the preparation and management of financial budgets and forecasts.- Partner with the People & Culture Lead to approve annual compensation reviews and establish financial objectives for employee bonuses- Identify and secure alternative funding sources.- Maintain strong relationships with investors.- Ensure compliance with all tax obligations for both entities.- Manage grants and loans.- Oversee banking operations and relationships.- Review and manage employee expense reports and supplier invoices.**Minimum Qualifications**- Proven experience as a Head of Finance, Finance Director, or similar leadership role.- **Strong expertise in US and Spain accounting standards** and tax compliance.- Experience with financial operations in **Latin America**, including invoicing, collections, and local compliance requirements.- Track record of managing finances in a **scale-up or startup** environment (not just corporate).- Comfortable being both strategic and hands-on — able to wear multiple hats without a dedicated team initially.- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.- Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.- Advanced knowledge of financial software and tools.**Preferred Qualifications**- Experience working in SaaS or technology companies.- Knowledge of fundraising processes, investor relations, and grant/loan management.- Previous work in a remote and globally distributed team environment.**Why Join Us**At Wise Athena, you'll have the opportunity to shape the financial future of a fast-growing AI-powered company, work closely with the leadership team, and operate in a dynamic, multicultural environment where your expertise will directly impact our growth.- **100% Remote Work** - From wherever you are, within a global and collaborative team.- **Flexible Schedule** - Balance your personal and professional life.- **Competitive Compensation in USD**.- **Unlimited PTO** - Take the time you need, whenever you need it.- **Health Insurance**- Your well-being is our priority.- **México Public Holidays** - Enjoy all official national holidays.- **Equipment & IT Support** - We provide computer support.Tipo de puesto: Tiempo completoPregunta(s) de postulación:- What are your net monthly salary expectations?- How many years of proven experience do you have as a Head of Finance, Finance Director, or in a similar leadership role?- Have you worked in a startup or scale-up environment before?- What level of English proficiency do you consider you have?(A Basic, B1-B2, C1-C2)Lugar de trabajo: Empleo remoto
