## Software Development Engineer in TestMexico - MexicaliJob FamilySoftware Development Engineering TestYour Title: **Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)**Job Location: **Mexicali, Mexico**Our Department: **SketchUp****What You Will Do**The Trimble SketchUp division is seeking to fill a Software Development Engineer in Test position on our global engineering team. The candidate will work closely with the development teams in the testing and performance of our software, which includes but is not limited to, web applications, desktop applications, and cloud services. Success in this position will require the candidate to be creative, highly organized and self-motivated.* Collaborate with software development and product management to define acceptance criteria for new features.* Create and execute tests, including exploratory and regression testing.* Document test results and report findings back to the team.* Troubleshoot any potential issues found, and help diagnose the root cause.* Generate detailed bug reports in Jira for any confirmed issues.* Advocate for the customer and for maintaining a high level of quality in our releases.* Work with the test automation team to automate key scenarios to be added to the regression test suite.* Maintain existing regression test suite. This includes obsoleting old, creating new, updating existing and finally reviewing and gaining approval for various test cases.* Leverage AI agents and machine learning tools to enhance test automation capabilities and improve testing efficiency.**What Skills & Experience You Should Bring*** Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and a willingness to work with people on changing requirements to deliver a quality product to the customer.* Fluency in English* Problem-solving and time management skills with motivation and ability to work autonomously.* Ability to analyze a complex system and use critical thinking skills to understand the risks of making certain changes and derive an appropriate test plan.* Experience with testing web applications and desktop software.* Strong focus on test automation and experience with modern testing frameworks.* Experience with AI-powered testing tools and automation agents.* Ability to work in office environment and communicate with teams located across the globe* Bachelor's degree in CS, CE, EE or other relevant engineering field.* Demonstrated experience in an engineering test, product development or other relevant field.**Other / Preferred Requirements*** Experience with modern test automation tools (Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, etc.)* Experience with AI-powered testing platforms and agents* Experience with testing RESTful API's using Postman or other API test tool.* Web UI development technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, REST, etc.)* Programming experience (JavaScript, TypeScript, Python).* Experience with cloud-based testing platforms and CI/CD pipelines**About Our SketchUp Division**Trimble SketchUp provides industry-leading 3D modeling software that empowers millions of users worldwide to design, visualize, and communicate their ideas.
