Duties & Responsibilities:Evangelizes software development best practices and sets a high bar for other engineers to meetEstablishes a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, transparency, high degree of craftsmanshipLeads technical discussions and plans to improve overall software qualityCollaborates with Product Management, Design, and other teams to define and deliver on the product and technical roadmapProposes and oversees timelines for engineering projectsDirects leaders of scrum teamsDevelops and implements validation toolsFosters and facilitates Agile methodologiesWorks in an agile environment using SCRUM or KanbanWorks with Project Managers/leads to consume product backlog and generate technical designDesigns solutions, writes and tests codeMentor/groom Lead engineers to be next IT leaders.Manage and Lead COTS evaluation that will improve SDLC efficiency for the teamKey distinction of job level:Oversees quality and content of multiple products and projectsType of supervision received:Receives minimal day to day directionType of supervision given:Leads teams of contractors, influences horizontallyMinimum qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related fields, or equivalent work experience. 5+ years of IT and business industry work experience in managing teams or projects, and influencing managers and key stakeholdersRequires technical and business knowledge in software development life cycle, quality assurance, project management and other related disciplines/processes.
