**RESPONSIBILITIES**- Source and purchase complex goods and services for the organization.- Lead procurement projects and negotiations with strategic vendors.- Develop and maintain relationships with strategic vendors and suppliers.- Implement procurement strategies that optimize cost, quality, and delivery.- Evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations for changes when necessary.- Analyze market trends and stay up to date on industry news and developments.- Mentor and coach junior buyers to ensure their professional development.- Work with other departments to identify their purchasing needs and develop procurement strategies.- Participate in the development of policies and procedures related to purchasing.- Ensure that all purchasing activities comply with legal and ethical standards.Perform other related duties as assigned.**QUALIFICATIONS**- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.- At least 4-8 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, with a focus on strategic sourcing and vendor management.Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with strategic vendors and suppliers.**PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS**- The role is primarily based in a manufacturing facility, requiring regular site visits and interaction with production teams.- Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety protocols.- The role involves extended periods of sitting in front of a computer.- Occasional standing or walking may be required during meetings, presentations, or site visits- Work is primarily conducted in an office environment with controlled temperature and lighting.
