Core Purpose of the RoleThis position involves local statutory and USGAAP accounting reporting of AIG Mexico legal entities, including the period end close, non-insurance balances, intercompany reconciliations, and internal and external audit preparations.Key ResponsibilitiesAccountant III: Prepare all period end closing financial reporting activities in the US GAAP and Local GAAP ledgers for the Mexico entities in conjunction with FC to meet reporting deadlines; support month end and quarter end reporting, analytical review, variance analysis with the Local Reporting Manager; prepare supporting documentation for statutory accounts; present to the GL Accounting Lead; collaborate with the GLAccounting Lead, Business colleagues, local reporting managers; review KPIs and dashboards; assist with balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany balances, and schedules; coordinate with generalledger, AP, invoicing, AR, intercompany, tax, and fixed assets teams; interface between department and other divisions/subsidiaries; ensure adherence to accounting standards and policies.Key CapabilitiesStrong analytical background, strategic thinking, attention to detail; solid understanding of accounting, treasury, internal controls, financial systems, and processes; effective communicationwith all management levels; comfortable in fast-paced, high-energy environment; multitasking and deadline management; team collaboration; managerial skills; proficiency in English; experience reporting to CNSF for RR's Reports and regulatory requirements for insurance institutions (plus); change management experience.Key Experience3–5 years post-qualification experience; hands-on experience in local and US GAAP reporting; insurance industry experience considered a plus; preference for work with shared service centers; internal controls experience.EducationUniversity Degree with Accounting major or equivalent.Equal OpportunityAIG is committed to providing equal opportunity to all qualified individuals regardless of race, color, religion, age, gender, gender expression, national origin, veteran status, disability or any other legally protected categories.AIG is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to job applicants and employees with disabilities.If you believe you need a reasonable accommodation, please send an email to the Functional Area: FA - Finance.#J-*****-Ljbffr
