Housing Finance Product Manager

**ABOUT THE ROLE**NEW STORY is seeking a talented **Housing Finance Product Manager** to help accomplish our goal of providing affordable housing solutions for 1 Million people by ****.You will provide technical expertise to create, and expand housing finance products and services, focused on affordable housing by leading the design, improvement, and expansion of housing finance products and services.The Housing Finance Product Manager will work with a range of financial service providers, including but not limited to microfinance institutions, credit unions, commercial banks, and fintech, and will explore opportunities to design and/or expand affordable housing finance portfolios for home purchase, home construction, land purchase, and home improvements and expansions, including loans, savings, insurance, and any other service that can support inclusion and putting families on the path of having adequate housing.For each partnership, you will assess organizational performance, develop a technical expertise plan, and achievable goals, and identify a team of experts required (including potential contractors) to implement the plan to design and/or improve a housing finance product and services.This position will give you the opportunity to help shape the process of business analysis, business planning, and strategy implementation to support the expansion of the market systems-focused housing finance interventions portfolio of New Story.You'll report to the Senior Manager of Interventions and will work in close collaboration with the other Impact team members and occasionally with other departments.**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE**- Has excellent market research experience and skills (secondary and primary data collection experience) and an analytical mind,- Has proven experience in the design of financial products for low-income segments,- Has strong interpersonal skills and experience managing partner or client relations, and has outstanding presentation skills,- Is a great facilitator.**WHAT YOU'LL DO**- Identify threats, risk mitigation strategies, and opportunities for the housing finance interventions that partner organizations are developing in partnership with New Story.- Assess market trends and competitors that can support and/or hinder the expansion of the housing finance interventions that partner financial service providers are developing in partnership with New Story.- Present findings, projections, and recommended actions to improve the housing finance interventions developed in partnership with New Story.i.e. customer journeys, marketing plans, business processes, use of technology, sales agents training, etc.- Plan, implement and manage proposed recommendations along with other team members.- Work alongside the monitoring, evaluation, and learning team to make sure projects are moving forward and suggest improvements to housing finance products and services based on performance.- Provide advice in the design of housing finance products and related services to a wide range of financial service providers, including but not limited to banks, credit unions, microfinance, digital financial services, and housing finance organizations.- Support financial service providers on various topics, including strategy, risk, operations, digital transformation, products, customer journey, and delivery channels.- Contribute to the strategy and growth of the work with financial service providers by identifying and building relationships to support the expansion of financial services for housing for vulnerable populations.- Be an active participant within the Impact Team with ideas that can contribute to expanding the opportunities with financial service providers and other stakeholders.- Contribute to developing reports and presentations from the Impact team (monthly, quarterly, annual) for various stakeholders of New Story.**WHO YOU ARE**- Degree in business administration, economics, international development, or a related field and more than 7 years of professional experience.- 5+ years of experience in the design of financial products for low-income populations (loans, savings, insurance, etc.)- 5+ years of experience leading market research (using secondary and primary data) to inform product design.- Experience developing customer journeys, and marketing plans, among others, is highly desired.- Experience with affordable housing products and services is highly desired.- Experience in microfinance, credit unions, and/or other financial service providers is highly desired.- Experience with digital finance (fintech) is highly desired.- Experience providing consulting services to financial institutions is a plus.- Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory.- An exceptional project manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and delivers high-quality work- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.- Experience working in LATAM- Ab
