**Career Area**:Manufacturing & Supply Chain**Your Work Shapes the World**Whether it be groundbreaking products, best in class solutions or creating a lifelong career, you can do the work that matters at Caterpillar.With a 95-year legacy of quality and innovation and 150 locations in countries around the world, your impact spans the globe.When you join Caterpillar, you are joining a team of makers, innovators and doers.We are the people who roll up our sleeves and do the work to build a better world.We don't just talk about progress and innovation.We make it happen.And we are proud of that, because it helps our customers build and power the world we live in - the roads, hospitals, homes and infrastructure.Without a dedicated workforce Caterpillar could not effectively meet our customer's needs.Join us.**Job Purpose**:Responsible for facility performance levels to division targets for Lean Digital Transformation of operations and supply chain to deliver improved order-to-delivery results.Leads facility efforts to develop and implement specific Lean Digital Transformation projects.**Job Duties**:- Responsible for performing work to achieve divisional Lean Digital Transformation performance targets focused on manufacturing connectivity, and intelligent automation to improve order-to-delivery results.- The incumbent coordinates and manages a performance portfolio for multiple, cross functional work teams deploying the Lean Digital Transformation portfolio for a facility.- Transformation planning process and lead team efforts to develop IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) connectivity and intelligent automation, which may include implementing changes to factory floor layout and business processes.- Incumbent leads team efforts to gather and analyze data on facility connectivity and intelligent automation opportunities and prioritize efforts based on facility need and value.This position leads team efforts to develop IIoT connectivity and intelligent automation capabilities and use cases.- The incumbent supports facility efforts to implement IIoT connectivity and intelligent automation where appropriate.This work requires knowledge of lean concepts and tools.The incumbent must be able to lead work teams consisting of members from multiple functions, driving collaboration and communication across facility divisions, including site Global Purchasing, IT Support personnel, factory floor personnel, Transportation, Logistics and Operations.- This role will work collaboratively with external and internal suppliers, and across all functional areas in the order-to-delivery domain.- This role requires cross-functional work team leadership skills and communication.- Moderate Travel Required (25% - 50% working time)**Position Impacts**:Incumbent is responsible to achieve division targets for Lean Digital Transformation of operations and supply chain to deliver improved order-to-delivery results.Leads facility efforts to develop and implement specific Lean Digital Transformation projects**Job Requirements**:- Experience and knowledge of lean concepts and tools- Experience and knowledge of CPS and lean supply chain principles, material flow, the corporate NPI process, facility product and engineering change control processes and throughput efficiency- Strong understanding and previous experience using common supply chain systems, and the ability to coordinate facility efforts with large-scale IT transformations- Must possess excellent leadership skills to effectively lead supply chain and operations improvements making the best use of available resources, while maintaining strong people focus and fulfilling the responsibilities for leading people- Must possess extremely strong collaborative, interpersonal and negotiation skills in order to drive common Lean Digital Transformation processes across multiple departments and facilities within a business division- Must have advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to creatively solve very complex problems.- Must be able to design and deploy Lean Digital Transformation IIoT connectivity and intelligent automation in a highly productive environment with mínimal disruption to daily requirements- APICS CPIM or CSCP National Certification highly desired.**Background / Experience**:- University degree related to Supply Chain, preferred- Experience with the CPS RIW and Value Stream Transformation process- Minimum of six years of progressively responsible supply chain job experience- Experience in the development and deployment of Supply Chain, Operations or Manufacturing Engineering processes- A background in Supply Chain, Manufacturing / Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Inventory Management, Material Requirements Planning, Demand Management and/or Logistics is highly desired.**Final details**Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).Not ready to apply?Submit your information to our Ta
