Warranty Recovery Specialist

The Warranty Recovery Specialist is responsible for the pursuit of fair and equitable cost recovery from our supplier partners. The selected individual will have experience in managing cross‑functionally and possess a broad knowledge of the automotive engineering, manufacturing and quality landscape. The candidate must be a high‑energy, hands‑on individual with strength of convictions—an effective leader who sells ideas and solutions to others and who upholds unquestioned integrity. Responsibilities Develop and present conclusive assessments of problem responsibilities Gather complete and timely internal supporting documentation, including root cause and supporting corrective actions Interface with various internal departments to develop cases and present to suppliers, gaining concurrence on responsible costs Negotiate with suppliers to overcome resistance and achieve appropriate recovery of costs Plan, prioritize, set goals, and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment using a wide scope of warranty, financial, purchasing, and vehicle systems Strong communication skills to support meetings at all levels of the company, including senior leadership; establish partnerships both internally and externally to influence without direct authority Commitment and dedication to delivering a premier product to the consumer Contribute or drive team success by clarifying expectations and minimizing political hurdles Demonstrate unwavering commitment to delivering results and champion achievements Exhibit a willingness to do things differently and consistently translate ideas into actions that deliver results; strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline Minimum of 5 years of experience in the automotive industry and/or manufacturing Strong communication and presentation skills to support meetings at all levels High‑energy, hands‑on individual with strength of conviction who can effectively sell ideas and solutions to others Undisputed integrity Microsoft Office suite proficiency Preferred Qualifications Master's degree Warranty / Quality experience Data analysis experience Finance/accounting experience Ability to drive team success by clarifying expectations and minimizing political hurdles Self‑motivated with strong interpersonal skills to establish partnerships both internally and externally to influence without direct authority We welcome applications from people of all gender identities, age, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sexual orientation and disability.
