Test Engineer

This position is responsible for the simplification, standardization, and automation of test processes with manufacturing clients in Guadalajara.In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:- Safety First: Protect system users by identifying hazards, engineering safeguards, creatingsafe procedures, and defining necessary PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).- Design, develop and implement production test hardware and software.- Standardize product quality test processes across all manufacturing sites globally.- Simplify, Standardize and Automate manufacturing test processes.- Work with global Design Engineering groups on Design for Testability (DFT).- Integrate test processes with factory MES systems.- Conceptualize product test needs to build BOM for complex test systems.- Configure server and network infrastructure required for test processes.- Stay ahead of innovative technologies and Champion Industry Best Practices.- Mentor other technicians on products and processes.Guide troubleshooting efforts whenraised.- Drive appropriation of funds and procure material by placing orders with vendors.- Develop, write, maintain system documentation, and train operators on working leveldocuments and standing instructions as required.- Perform capacity analysis for production work cells to determine test needs.Makerecommendations on production processes.- Identify programmable devices in products and define processes for programming them.- Work with Quality engineers and technicians on customer quality issues and failureanalysis to put processes in place to prevent future escapes.- Provide technical expertise to address complex problems- Develop and drive digitization tools to give partners information needed to make good andtimely decisions.- Define and maintain automated data capture on all test equipment for quality analysisand traceability.- Navigate PC/software as required.- Finish all assigned training and maintain any certifications as required including ElectricalSafety training and quality IPC Level 2.For This Role, You Will Need:- Strong knowledge of electronics.Associate degree in electronics or equivalent.- 5-10 years of experience in electronics manufacturing with some knowledge ofmanufacturing methods, procedures, processes, and test techniques.- Demonstrated problem-solving expertise.- Familiarity with engineering practices and the interpretation of drawing andspecifications.- Demonstrated communication/interpersonal/personal computer literacy.Ability to workwell with co-workers and external customers.- Computer programming experience (E.g., Delphi, C/C++, VB, python, Ladder Logic, XML,HTML, SQL, CSS, and Linux bash scripts etc.).- Ability to lift 30 lbs.- Ability to distinguish colors.Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:- Bachelor's degree in electronics or computer science.- Working knowledge of CAD, SAP, and Agile.Our Culture & Commitment to YouAt Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.We foster an environment that encourages innovation, collaboration, and diverse perspectives—because we know that great ideas come from great teams.Our commitment to ongoing career development and growing an inclusive culture ensures you have the support to thrive.Whether through mentorship, training, or leadership opportunities, we invest in your success so you can make a lasting impact.We believe diverse teams, working together are key to driving growth and delivering business results.We recognize the importance of employee wellbeing.We prioritize providing competitive benefits plans, a variety of medical insurance plans, Employee Assistance Program, employee resource groups, recognition, and much more.Our culture offers flexible time off plans, vacation and holiday leave
