Overview:You don't have to be an employee long before you understand the SSOE difference.It goes back to our history of reinventing ourselves for new markets, serious rates of growth year after year, and being ahead of the curve in technology.Those are the achievements of a company that rewards talent and effort in ways that mean the most to the individual.When you work at SSOE, you work with the best and you're a part of something bigger than yourself.And providing the best possible workplace for our employees gives us a competitive advantage - helping us attract and retain top talent and drive better business results.**Responsibilities**:The following duties are typical of the position, but are not all encompassing.Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.- Performs routine architectural assignments under the direction of a project architect or Department Manager with increasing responsibility based on performance.- Works from both own designs and designs of others, compiles data, performs design studies and evaluations, estimates quantity take-offs, and assists in preparation of cost estimates.- Prepares architectural plans and details, consults with project manufacturers, evaluates materials and may observe projects in the field.- Exercises judgment in developing project details, and selects and develops preliminary alternatives.- Consults with supervisor to screen assignments for unusual or difficult problems and to select appropriate methods and techniques to apply.- Performs specific and limited portions of a larger project assignment under some direction and guidance.- Drafts own and others designs into completed working drawings.- May be assisted by a CADD designer but usually assumes no responsibility for direction of others.- Compiles data; performs design computations and assists with code analysis.Qualifications:- Bachelor of Architecture Degree or Master of Architecture Degree required, license track preferred.- Minimum of one (1) year of experience with SSOE as an Architect 1, or the same education requirements as above with two (2) or more years of practical experience with former employer(s).- Exceptions may be based upon equivalencies.
