TE Connectivity's Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors.They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment.Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary.They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.**What your background should look like**:MANDATORY SKILLS REQUIRED TO PERFORM THE JOB:- In depth knowledge of regulatory compliance process pertaining to electrical safety products and standards, on both components and end-products are in priorities, experience on standards UL****/CSA Std.C22.2 No. *****, UL310/CSA Std.C22.2 No. 153, ANSI C******/UL 773, UL *********, UL486, IEC *****, IEC *****, IEC ***** would be preferred.- Strong understanding of engineering design practices, product development lifecycles, design change and technical specifications and ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams.- Innovative thinking and continuous process improvement mindset.- Ability to recognize opportunities and propose practical solutions for improvements.- Excellent collaboration with global team members.- Excellent Project/Program/stakeholder and information management skills.- Excellent Communication (oral and written) and presentation skills.- Flexibility in learning, multi-tasking and executing on a variety of certification tasks in short time.- Strong planning, data organization, review and management skills.- A strong attitude of ownership of success and failure.Responsible and committed to quality results.- Customer focus mindset / passion to work to provide excellent customer experience.- Mentoring Junior engineer and Training to other function skills- EDUCATION/CRITICAL COMPETENCIES- Years of Experience: 8+ years in Product Safety Certification Domain.- Educational qualification: BE/BTECH Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical EngineeringROLE OBJECTIVEWe are looking for a Product Certification Expert to handle all the worldwide certifications (UL/CSA/VDE/TUV/IEC CB, etc.) for various product families in the TE Connected Living Solutions Business Unit.RESPONSIBILITIES- Business Unit PoC for product approvals & certification activities globally.- Shall act as a project manager, being diligent, methodical, and organized in carrying out the agency approval activities.- Excellent knowledge and understanding on the agency technical reports, test reports, specifications and procedures is a must.- Spearhead continuous improvement activities, 5S, and kaizen events for lean processes and cost saving activities.- Coordinate with the testing/certification agencies, track projects and lead them to a logical closure for all regulatory agency approvals activities for existing, modified, and new product.Monitor standards developed, review products, and advise engineers to ensure product compliance.- Ability to multitask, handling multiple projects and driving for project completion with multiple stakeholders is key for this role.- Should be able to interact with global stakeholders (PM/Sales etc.), directly with Customers, and communicate technical details efficiently.- Cost down/avoidance mindset and execute in actual product certification projects to achieve cost avoidance target.- Be technical expert for agency approval team, support and responsible for the overall technical quality of the team, assisting manager in promoting the team to follow best practices.- Assist the product approval manager in managing all certification projects well with timely and accurate delivery.- Assist the manager to regularly maintain BU product approval management platform (quality/procedure documents, knowledge sharing, lesson learning, best practice, etc.)**Competencies**:- Values: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, Teamwork
