**ABOUT Ample**:Do you want to change the world?Ample is a pioneer in the electric vehicle space that is developing a new way to deliver energy to any electric vehicle.At Ample we use advanced robotics to enable fast modular battery swapping that is as fast, as cheap, and as convenient as gas.We are a team of technologists, designers, and environmental enthusiasts who believe that this problem is among one of the most critical challenges of our time.Join Ample and help us make this a reality for billions of vehicles.***:**ABOUT YOU AND THE ROLE**:We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Global Supply Chain Manager in Mexico to support our development, engineering, and production teams in the sourcing of mechanical components and assemblies.As a Global Supply Chain Manager, you will support the purchasing, planning, quality and delivery tracking of various materials needed for our battery, vehicle, and swapping systems.In this role, you will not only act as the catalyst to enabling the end-to-end procurement transactions, but also as the champion to bring continuous improvement to purchasing processes and systems to achieve our ambitious mission of electrifying vehicles globally.The role requires cross-functional engagement and execution within Ample and across the extended global supply chain.***:**WHAT YOU'LL DO**:- Focused on sourcing mechanical & electrical parts with an emphasis on diversifying our supply base in Mexico- Support in the development and onboarding of suppliers with a focus on suppliers in Mexico and low cost regions- Manage quick turn R&D builds by sourcing key components and coordinating on time delivery to meet our timelines- Work closely with key suppliers in Mexico to ensure quality standards are achieved and delivery timelines are met- Execute purchase requisitions to place Purchase Orders as and when needed and manage purchase orders through invoicing and delivery.- Maintain accurate open Purchase Order lines with the inbound quantities and due dates from vendors.- Build and maintain operational partnerships with assigned suppliers.- Act as the primary interface with suppliers on delivery status, issues, and resolution.- Escalate to commercial or technical partners when required (sourcing team, accounts payable, quality, engineering, etc.)- Manage project BOMs and engineering changes to minimize obsolete inventory and ensure continuous supply.- Work with suppliers in procurement of off the shelf parts and manufactured parts ensuring proper authorization of the spend.- Support on boarding and training of new suppliers to ensure operational excellence and compliance with Ample's processes and policies.- Navigate to a dynamic environment of rolling / changing build plans.- Track costing across Ample's major systems and subsystems to identify cost opportunities.- Work with assigned suppliers on supplier development activities as well as conducting regular supplier performance reviews.**WHAT YOU'LL BRING**:- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field of discipline or equivalent experience.- 3 + years' experience in a fast paced and high growth environment as a Supplier Development Engineer, Supplier Quality Engineer, Supplier Industrialization Engineer, Process Engineer, New Product Introduction Manager, Sourcing Manager, or Program Manager- Demonstrated skills in supplier operational and relationship management.- Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems and MS Excel, including ability to maintain and enhance reports to deliver clear-to-build status, material coverage, run-out reports and other analyses at product or sub-assembly level.- Self-starter with the ability to manage end-to-end purchasing and supplier development cycles.This includes supply chain sourcing activities, supplier development initiatives, vendor schedule management, and quality management.**_ We are an Equal Opportunity and E-verified Employer and celebrate diversity_
