**Career Area**:Logistics**:**DISTRIBUTION SUPERVISOR - CIENEGA DE FLORES**:**Materials matter here.So, do you.**For every new road or bridge that connects people and enables commerce, there was once a fleet of Cat® machines at work—and those machines were once just iron and steel.As a member of our supply chain team, you'll make sure those raw materials make their way into our factories, where they're transformed into the products that help build a better world.**JOB PURPOSE**:To create and maintain a safe work environment while leading the receipt, processing, packaging, storage, order filling and shipment of parts to Caterpillar dealers, Distribution Centers and Regional Distribution Centers to support the end users of Caterpillar equipment.**JOB RELATED STATISTICS**:Total Operating Expenses: $250,000Personnel: ***** hourly**JOB DUTIES**:This position is an entry-level Distribution Supervisor position.This position is provided guidance and support by more senior level Distribution Supervisors, Facility Manager, etc.Supervises/leads a small work group ****** people) to ensure completion of assigned tasks in accordance with established processes.The position is responsible for all personnel issues and performance evaluation of subordinates.Ensures parts inventory is received, processed and stored in a safe, efficient and timely manner.Assists office personnel to complete order processing by providing data on orders in process and resolves grief associated with orders.Responds to dealer calls and provides necessary information and assistance to complete orders.Contributes to the development of an effective work force by assigning, directing and motivating employees to conform to defined and documented processes.Provides necessary on the job training.Contributes to improving productivity and quality by taking ownership of the process.Embraces continuous improvement and the development of teams as a preferred operating method.Maintains high employee morale by ensuring basic elements of work discipline are delivered.Contributes to the overall team productivity by performing assigned tasks, normally performed by subordinates, such as filling orders, packing orders or storing receipts.Employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.Limited travel required (Less than 5% of working time).**BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE**:- The position requires knowledge of various purchasing and materials systems, receiving report processing, and state and federal shipping regulations.- The position typically requires a university degree- In addition, three to five years of job-related experience are typically required.- Excellent interpersonal skills are required to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the department to take specific actions.- This position requires Intermediate English**The Caterpillar Code of Conduct states that we will select and place employees based on their qualifications for the job to be performed, without regard to race, religion, national origin, color, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or disability.In this company we do not request pregnancy tests, nor HIV tests as requirements for employment entry, permanence or promotion.****Final details**LICaterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO).Not ready to apply?Submit your information to our Talent Network here.
