Electrical Engineer 3

This role will design and support state of the art Structural component design for Steam Turbines.Electrical measuring devices and wiring for components e.g., HP & IP shell, LP hood, Bearings, Pedestals, Turning Gears, and the Main Steam Valve.The selected individual would be joining a well-established global design team that has overall design responsibility for Structures components including all mechanical design aspects through the full lifecycle of the component.Major DutiesPrimary role is within the Electrical device definition for Shells, Valves, Bearing, pedestal section of the Structures team, with opportunities to expand to other Structure componentsCoach and mentor others in the analysis, design, test and / or integration related to assigned components, assemblies or process systems that meet business standards, practices, and procedures, and meet the product / program requirements.Work within the guidelines of applicable GE Steam Power Policies and Procedures, Engineering Standards, Design Customer Operating Procedures, Specifications, Government and Commercial Standards, and special security requirements.Provide technical engineering support to improve or resolve design, performance, manufacturing, supplier, or field issues.Document technical data generated to substantiate the assigned components, assemblies, processes and / or systems consistent with engineering policies and procedures.Monitor and communicate project status, business issues, and significant developments.to reach and anticipate reaching business objectivesPrepare, present and document technical data to internal and external customers, document technical data generated or acquired to substantiate the assigned components, assemblies, processes or systems consistent with engineering policies and proceduresLead the solution of complex technical problems, develop and execute objectives for self, and have the ability to affect short-term and some long-term business goals.Utilize Lean tools to improve current business products and processes.Concurrently work on multiple projects, monitoring progress and quality, and ensuring schedule requirements are met.Ensure quality objectives for own and other people's work Recognized technical expert in relevant engineering domainLead the implementation of innovative analysis design, development concepts of processes and systems.Define technical schedule cost and / or program requirements.Conduct assessments and develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problemsLead the development of components, assemblies, processes, or systems and solve complex high-impact problems.Effectively communicate and provide recommendations to internal customers through the analysis, preparation, and presentation of technical data.Provide technical guidance to other personnel and assigned teams; mentor others in the organization.Minimum Job RequirementsBachelor's degree, must be in a Electrical Engineering or related fieldRelevant experience in Mechanical DesignDemonstrated Project Management skillsFinite Element Analysis capabilityDemonstrated sense of urgency to resolve customer issues quickly and efficientlyStrong oral and written communication skills in English and SpanishAble to interface effectively with all levels of an organization and demonstrated leadership to pursue correct engineeringDemonstrates unyielding integrity in all business dealings and decisionsBuild trust & commitment with internal teams... develop personal connections with peopleLegal right to work in Mexico.We will not sponsor individuals for legal permits or visasIf currently a GE employee, you must have been in your current position for at least 18 months and have at least a satisfactory performance ratingIn case of being a GEIQ employee, you must have previously occupied a position as an E2, E3, D2, D3OtherUG knowledge, AVEVASolid contribution in a similar role or previous positionDemonstrated outstanding technical skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsEffective team building and interpersonal skillsExperience leading and working with global resourcesFamiliar with fabrication, machining, and assembly operations of power generation equipmentWill Not Sponsor VisaNo relocation assistanceAdditional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided : No#J-*****-Ljbffr
