**_Welcome to Warner Bros.Discoverythe stuff dreams are made of._****Who We Are **When we say, "the stuff dreams are made of," we're not just referring to the world of wizards, dragons and superheroes, or even to the wonders of Planet Earth.Behind WBD's vast portfolio of iconic content and beloved brands, are the _storytellers_ bringing our characters to life, the_ creators_ bringing them to your living rooms and the _dreamers_ creating what's nextFrom brilliant creatives, to technology trailblazers, across the globe, WBD offers career defining opportunities, thoughtfully curated benefits, and the tools to explore and grow into your best selves.Here you are supported, here you are celebrated, here you can thrive.**Your New Role**We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Content Accounting team.This team provides full-service accounting and reporting relating to HBO Original Programming, HBO Acquired Theatrical Programming, HBO Sports, and HBO Independent Pictures.The team is responsible for reviewing all P&L activity; preparing journal entries for production cash, hedge gain/loss, accruals, tax incentive receivables, prepaids, reclasses, amortization, intercompany and other ad hoc entries as needed; preparing monthly/quarterly P&L variance explanations by cost center; preparing balance sheet reconciliations and flux explanations; and preparing external reporting schedules (e.g. Inventory Rollforward, Commitments and Contingencies, and Derivative Instruments).This role will ensure all deliverables are completed timely, accurately, and will sign off on necessary close requirements.The role requires an understanding of forecasting, recurring expenses, and the ability to communicate both financial and non-financial information to finance and operational partners throughout the company., including Content Finance, Technical Accounting, Line of Business and Consolidated Financial Reporting.**Your Role Accountabilities**- Maintain the general ledger, journal entry processing, account reconciliations, analysis and audit deliverables.- Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.- Participate in the execution of special projects and proactively develop accurate ad hoc analyses for management to make informed decisions.- Ensure internal controls are in place and all transactions are recorded timely and accurately in accordance with GAAP and established SOX requirements and procedures.- Build, foster, and maintain good working relationships with members of the Finance, Line of Business, and Operations- Contribute to quarterly content impairment review exercises.**Qualifications & Experiences**- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience required and a strong understanding of US GAAP, SOX requirements, and relevant local GAAP as required- Bachelor's degree in accounting from an accredited university- Master's degree in accounting a plus- CPA license (or equivalent) attained or progress toward attainment- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel- Detailed-oriented with a strong desire to meet deadlines and other relevant performance metrics**Other Nice to Have**- Public accounting experience- Oracle, Peoplesoft, SAP, Cadency and/or Blackline- Content revenue accounting or the media/entertainment industry**How We Get Things Done****Championing Inclusion at WBD
