The people here at Apple don't just create products - they create the kind of impact that's revolutionized entire industries.At Apple, new ideas have a way of becoming extraordinary products, services, and customer experiences very quickly.It's the diversity of those people and their ideas that inspires the innovation that runs through everything we do, from amazing technology to industry-leading environmental efforts.The Government Affairs team helps shape policy and strategy on a range of issues, and manages Apple's interactions with federal legislators.Our team has experience working at a high level in government, as well as experience working as policy advocates.We have a strong passion for crafting policy and strategic engagement campaigns that impact Apple's local government business for many years to come.Join Apple, and help us leave the world better than we found it**Description**As Government Affairs Manager for Mexico and Strategic Alliances in Latin America, you will help us developing and deepen relationships with the Federal and State Governments of Mexico, particularly with Ministries, Regulatory Agencies and Congress.You will also develop and design engagement campaigns on a variety of organizations and a range of policy issues across Latin America.Your extensive knowledge of relevant third party organizations, regional political trends, extensive experience working internationally and a deep understanding of the key policy issues is vital to this role.**Responsibilities**- Interlocutor with key government agencies closely related to Apple's businesses in Mexico and Latin America at both federal and state level and Congress with focus con telecommunications, digital and ESG regulation compliance, competition and international trade.- Regularly engage and coordinate with the key government stakeholders in federal and state governments to secure the government approval, policy support and changes, and regulatory permits..- Communicate and coordinate with both U.S.based and local industry and trade associations to create and foster advocacy strategies for Apple's key policy issues.- Assist to planning and implementing the government affairs Mexico and regional strategies, including to leverage the corporate business plan and growth strategy.- Support, align, coordinate and work with the Global Government Affairs and other Apple teams for policy, regulatory, communication, and all other necessary issues.Key interlocutor on sales issues.- Monitor changes in public policies, organization structure, decision-making processes; update the overall relationship portfolio; and identify important partners and key figures.- Design and implement strategic engagement campaigns, working with both internal and external partners.- Develop and cultivate relationships with partners, including think tanks, industry trade associations, development banks, multilateral and civil society organizations and academics.- Communicate policy priorities to key partners and share feedback to internal teams.- Create policy and background materials for relevant meetings and engagement.- Develop relationships within the company to identify emerging policy issues, maintain coordination, and leverage existing in-house expertise to improve policy objectives.- Capture intelligence and assists in the preparation of position papers, policy briefings, other materials.**Minimum Qualifications**- 15+ years of relevant experience working in a Government Affairs position in government organizations and/or multinational corporations in Mexico and Latin America.- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience.- Ability to travel up to 50% within Mexico and Latin America- Proficiency in English and Spanish.**Preferred Qualifications**- Leadership positions in major industry associations.- Skills in communicating with government officials and internal business units.- Experience with the international tech industry, international trade and political landscape.- Experience developing politically diverse public affairs campaigns on the federal, state, congress and/or international level.- Thrive in an ambiguous work environment.- Influence and inspire change across multiple organizations and time zones.- Highly motivated self-starter with a passion for working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.- Proficiency in Portuguese.- Master's degree or equivalent industry experience.
