At Resideo, we imagine a world where homes and buildings are good for the planet, and where technology works to simplify everyday life.In that world, people are healthy, happy, and secure.To help create this future, we will work every day to simplify the connected world so people have peace of mind and can focus on what matters most.Resideo is making a large investment in our engineering group.With global reach and impact, we are dedicated to an investment in building our team as we develop new products and introduce them to consumers around the world (NPI).Whether your expertise is centered in mechanical, hardware, electrical, firmware, software, embedded, connected, test or other functional areas of embedded connected products, we have a place on our team ready for you to establish and grow your career.Being an established leader in the connected products space, we will give you a platform to work on new and innovative projects as a member of a team of intelligent innovators that are developing products that truly align with our mission of protecting what matters most.Resideo is currently seeking a Electrical Engineer to design and develop thermostats and other related smart home IoT products.This role values prior experience with microcontroller and microprocessor designs, analog circuits and high-speed digital.You will be involved in the entire NPI (New Product Introduction) design process, from researching new technology, developing proof-of-concepts, creating and owning complete schematics, building prototypes, testing, validating, and launching products into high-volume mass production.**Job Duties:- NPI Project Hardware Design: Participate in NPI project hardware design, including schematic design, PCB layout, BOM release, prototype build, debugging, engineering testing, and QA & Agency support.- Testing and Validation: collaborating closely with the test design department to perform testing, collect data, and validate electrical designs.- Deliver hardware designs on time to project schedules that meet customer requirements.- Global Collaboration: Engage in conference meetings with global teams to coordinate project progress.- Collaborate with other engineering functions, product management, suppliers, plant personnel and other stakeholders to develop and implement low-cost design solutions, methods, and product improvements, and to support build programs for platform, major and minor product development projects.- Perform design analysis (analog/Digital), feasibility studies, component selection and schematic capture.- Implement engineering changes.- Manage and approve component specifications and engineering drawings and release parts and subsystems for production.- Documentation: Ensure thorough documentation of designs, processes, and test results to maintain clear communication and traceability.- Solve engineering related problems.- Plan and implements product development and test programs.- Communicate information to and from internal and external customers.Travel as required (domestic & international)**You Must Have:- 1-3 years of experience in product development.- Knowledge in electronics product design, development, validation, and document release.- Working knowledge of NPI Phase Gate and ECRO Change Management processes.- Knowledge with any PCB layout tool (Mentor Graphics Expedition or equivalent), analog simulation (LT Spice or equivalent), typical lab tools such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, power supplies, multimeters, etc.- Good testing and troubleshooting skills.- Good analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.- Good knowledge of electronics manufacturing methods.English proficiency.**We Value:- Design Experience: Hands-on experience in hardware design projects, including schematic design, PCB layout, system debugging, and testing.- EDA Tools Proficiency: Familiarity with one or more EDA tools such as Mentor, Cadence, or Altium.- Motivation and Learning: Demonstrated enthusiasm and motivation for routine tasks, with a strong inclination towards continuous learning and improvement.- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively.Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical challenges.- #LI-JB1LI-ONSITE
