Job Title: Customs SpecialistAs a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in navigating the complexities of customs regulations and procedures.Responsibilities:- Familiarize yourself with local customs import and export policies, ensuring compliance and maximizing tax exemptions.- Review and verify declaration data to establish an efficient import/export data management system.- Lead customs compliance inspections and develop strategies to address customs audits, enhancing internal processes.- Collaborate on IT module requirements for customs-related systems and design a seamless customs clearance process.- Ensure overseas customs operations align with local regulatory policies, developing and refining internal customs standards and procedures.Requirements:- Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in customs management, international trade, logistics, supply chain management, law, finance, or economics.- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).- Strong understanding of customs laws, international trade policies, and import/export business processes.- Excellent cross-departmental communication skills, enabling seamless collaboration with customs, logistics, finance, and other departments.- Proficiency in Spanish and English, with strong verbal and written skills.Based in Mexico City initially, with potential for relocation as the organization grows.
