Sr Manager Logistics Operations

OverviewLead and manage logistics operations across the Americas region, ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective transportation and delivery of goods. Drive strategic initiatives, optimize multimodal networks, act as key liaison between Logistics and Customer Experience, Commercial, S&OP, and Procurement teams to ensure alignment of goals and seamless service delivery, and external partners to achieve high service levels and operational excellence.ResponsibilitiesLead regional logistics teams and operations across the AmericasOversee shipment execution and issue resolution across all transportation modesManage Freight Forwarder and 3PL relationships and performanceEnsure regulatory compliance and safety standardsDevelop and monitor KPIs and scorecardsDrive process improvements and cost optimizationManage logistics budgets and freight forecastsSupport audits, certifications, and contingency planningConduct performance reviews and employee development planningExpected Results:On-time delivery performance across the regionCost-effective logistics operationsHigh customer satisfaction and service levelsCompliance with all regulatory and internal standardsContinuous improvement in logistics processes and systemsStrong vendor relationships and contract performanceQualificationsRequired:Strategic thinking and regional logistics planningStrong interpersonal and stakeholder management skillsAnalytical and problem-solving capabilitiesKnowledge of customs, trade, and safety regulationsExperience with inventory and terminal/warehouse operationsAbility to lead cross-functional teams and drive performanceFamiliarity with SOX, ISO, and Dangerous Goods complianceDesireable:Six Sigma, LEAN, or other continuous improvement certificationsExperience in chemical industry logisticsKnowledge of railcar fleet management and technical specificationsVendor negotiation and contract management experienceExposure to contingency planning (strikes, embargos, service interruptions) #J-18808-Ljbffr
