Sr Industrial Engineer Makes plants more productive and efficient by leading the design and implementation of new or improved technologies, systems, and processes. Leads analysis of operating environment; looks for and identifies process inefficiencies and wastes of time, money, materials, and energy. Conducts comprehensive time and motion studies. Develops and evaluates complex pilot programs, simulations, and prototypes. Implements new and enhanced processes and tools. Designs the layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency. Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow. Oversees less experienced engineers in conceptualizing improvements, developing business cases, and presenting to management. Responsibilities Develop labor standards by analyzing work samples and methods; measuring work performance. Improve labor utilization by studying work methods, testing modifications, designing new methods, and recommending job restructuring. Improve workflow by studying process flow charts; recommending modifications in workflow, work stations, and products; developing new procedures and recommending equipment modifications and purchases. Reduce waste by studying methods, equipment, and operator techniques; recommending changes and identifying and analyzing waste. Implement work improvement programs by conferring with management and engineering staff. Prepare work‑analysis information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Coach others using skill set and business knowledge. Complete work improvement projects by training and guiding operators and supervisors. Maintain operations guidelines by writing and updating policies, procedures and methods. Protect organization value by keeping information confidential and cautioning about potential breaches. Contribute to industrial engineering and organizational success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results. All other duties as assigned.
