-Job descriptionIf you're looking for a career where you can make a real impression, join Global Service Center (GSC) HSBC and discover how valued you'll be.HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world, with operations in 64 countries and territories.We aim to be where the growth is, enabling businesses to thrive and economies to prosper, and, ultimately, helping people to fulfil their hopes and realise their ambitions.We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of**Senior Control Manager - KYC Ops, CCO Operations****Job Purpose**This role reports functionally to the Global Head of CCO WPB Operations.This role is located within Mexico GSC.The core focus of the role is:- Supporting, advising and challenging KYC Operations management to ensure that their risks and controls are understood and well managed.The role includes analysing the performance of the control environment, performing end-to-end reviews, deep dive thematic reviews to identify weaknesses and designing new or modified controls to remediate these weaknesses.- Supporting the Operations CCO lead and the team to deliver the required support to Operations management.Shoulder additional responsibilities beyond the immediate remit and support the team by sharing best practices, mentoring and coaching new staff etc.- Supporting the Global Head of CCO WPB Operations in creating meeting packs and running various governance forums, such as the monthly WPB Operations CEMM, and various Controls related meetings (such as Issues and Actions update sessions).Requirements**Essential Requirements****Capabilities**- Intellectually curious and inquisitive- Able to analyse and interpret complex and varied information to generate insight - and then use this insight to develop concise and actionable conclusions and recommendations.- Able to develop creative solutions to difficult problems- Able to pro-actively identify and resolve issues with mínimal supervision- Strong relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills with experience of positive, challenging interactions with senior management.- Strong written and verbal communication skills: ability to present complex issues simply and concisely,- Able to build productive working relationships with colleagues from different cultures and backgrounds and operate effectively within a globally dispersed team operating in different time zones.- Able to drive and successfully deliver multiple, wide-ranging priorities, often under stringent time pressures in a dynamic environment- Able to influence others; able to build and led build transient informal teams to solve specific issues**Knowledge**- Detailed understanding of broad operation activity and the regulatory environment in which Global Operations must operate.- Strong knowledge of KYC Operations processes and procedures.- Understanding of risk and control frameworks and risk polices.- Knowledge of best practice in risk management.**Experience**- Operating effectively in a complex, global organization- Experience of managing operational risk- Experience of designing and implementing process controlsAt HSBC we offer our colleagues a greater number of days so that they can fully enjoy their wedding, take care of the new member of the family, or grieve the loss of a family member.Our paid leave package is at the forefront in Mexico, now you have one more reason to be HSBC and proudly live a culture of well-being, balance and care.**Issued By HSBC Electronic Data Process Mexico Private LTD
