Overviewembecta is a global diabetes care company that is leveraging its 100-year legacy in insulin delivery to empower people with diabetes to live their best life through innovative solutions, partnerships and the passion of more than 2,000 employees around the globe.For more information, visit embecta.com or follow our social channels on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and X ().Why join us?A career at embecta means being part of a team that values your opinions and contributions and that empowers you to bring your authentic self to work.Here our employees can fulfill their life's purpose through the work that they do every day.You will learn and work alongside inspirational leaders and colleagues who are equally passionate and committed to fostering an inclusive, growth-centered, and rewarding culture.Our Total Rewards program – which includes competitive pay, benefits, continuous learning, recognition, career growth and life balance components – is designed to support the varying needs of our diverse and global employees.PositionThe Demand and Supply Planning Lead will ensure a solid demand planning process and flawless product supply to all LATAM countries and embecta intercompany DCs, with optimal inventory level.The DSP lead will act as the Subject Expert for all improvements related to demand and supply planning processes.The Demand and Supply Planning Lead, LA (Latin America) translates the key elements of the business and supply chain strategies into tactical functional initiatives to meet service objectives across the LA region.As the owner of the demand planning process for the business, this role will lead and coordinate the monthly demand consensus, producing an accurate consensus unit forecast that will drive the recommended supply and inventory planning, and ensure that all available sales and marketing intelligence is incorporated in the unit projection.As part of the S&OP process, the DSP Lead provides analysis to the Demand Supply Integrated Reconciliation meeting with country key business (Marketing/Sales) and Finance stakeholders to validate and reconcile the unit forecast with the financial projections.The Demand and Supply Planning Lead has an overview of the demand drivers and the impacts on Supply, ensuring supply plans are aligned with production capacity and financial targets.This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, namely Supply Chain, Project teams, Marketing, Commercial, Finance, Factories, both at the LA region and Global level, to support a more efficient demand and supply planning process.This role requires a high level of flexibility and process development.The scope includes, but is not limited to, demand planning, product lifecycle management, inventory optimization and information support to the S&OP, creation and maintenance of a database for metrics and KPIs (such as back order, forecast accuracy, inventory trend, forecast reconciliation, etc).The Demand and Supply Planning Lead LA reports directly to Sr.Supply Chain Manager, EMEA.This role will be based in Mexico City, Mexico, and covers the LA region (Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, South Cone and associated indirect markets).ResponsibilitiesDevelop demand forecast through data analytics tools/statistical models which indirectly drive supply and production planning, and directly affect the availability of inventory to local customers.Work with Marketing/Product Managers, Finance and Global Supply Planners to understand the forecast impact, financial gaps, risks and opportunities.Drive recommended product classification in terms of volume & value share, demand volatility and strategic importance to determine differentiated demand, supply and inventory strategy.Ensure and improve system utilization (IBP).Drive recommended system solutions, improve planning accuracy and predictability.Collaborate with global planning to determine appropriate stocking levels, especially for new product introductions or discontinuations.Ensure the supply plan is aligned with regional demand, considering production capacity and financial targets.Regularly review and cleanse system planning master data to improve planning results.Project monthly, quarterly and year-end inventory levels; analyze performance and establish plans to drive metric improvements to target.Identify Excess & Obsolete items, drive disposition and reduction opportunities; perform root cause analysis and continuous improvement.Set annual targets, monitor performance and develop strategies to improve metrics; accountable for forecasts such as Forecast Accuracy, Line Fill Rate, Back-Order, Inventory Value and Turns.Identify projects to improve supply chain service level, operational efficiency and cost reduction.Support global and regional supply chain initiatives to achieve best-in-class metrics, improve production/distribution efficiencies and customer experience.Experience & EducationExperience with government purchasing activity (tender process) with a focus on forecasting, product lead times (production + in transit) and order timing analysis.Minimum of 4 years' demand, supply & inventory planning experience.End-to-End Supply Chain experience, understanding of the 5 steps of the S&OP Process.ERP experiences in SAP/4Hana, IBP, Power BI, SCM DP/SNP or other tools.Track records of improving customer service level while improving supply chain metrics and operation cost.ERP implementation experience or experience with SAP4H/IBP is a plus.EducationBachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering or business field is required.CertificationsCertification from a recognized supply chain institution such as APICS or CSCMP is a plus.Lean/Six Sigma certification is a plus.#LI-SS1embecta is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.We do not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, age, sex, creed, national origin, ancestry, citizenship status, marital or domestic or civil union status, familial status, affectional or sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, genetics, disability, military eligibility or veteran status, or any other protected status.#J-*****-Ljbffr
