Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Job SummaryThis Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will play a key role in shaping the future of modular construction, focusing on innovative mechanical design solutions that drive efficiency and scalability.The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in complex mechanical system design, structural considerations, and engineering problem-solving. They will lead technical initiatives, influence cross-functional teams, and drive engineering decisions with minimal oversight.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the mechanical design, validation, and optimization of modular building systems and subassemblies.Drive advanced tolerance stack‑up analysis and apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) methodologies.Own and refine installation, lifting, and assembly strategies for prefabricated modular units.Provide technical leadership on transportation and handling solutions.Partner with architectural, manufacturing, quality, and operations teams to establish and continuously improve engineering and quality standards.Develop and review detailed 3D models, drawings, and technical documentation using CAD platforms.Serve as a senior technical advisor on material selection, thermal considerations, mechanical interfaces, and system integration.Stay abreast of emerging technologies, materials, and best practices in modular construction.Support mentoring and technical guidance of junior engineers.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.7+ years of progressive mechanical design engineering experience in modular construction or adjacent fields.Proven expertise in complex mechanical system design and structural considerations.Strong proficiency with CAD software and FEA tools.Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and influence cross‑functional teams.Excellent communication skills and executive presence.What We OfferA senior‑level role with direct influence on product architecture and engineering standards.Opportunity to work in a high‑growth, innovation‑focused environment shaping the future of modular construction.High visibility across engineering, manufacturing, and operations leadership.Competitive compensation and long‑term professional growth within a scaling organization. #J-18808-Ljbffr
