**Analytics and Engineering Tech Lead****ABOUT THE **OPERATIONS IT **TEAM**Operations IT is a global IT capability supporting the Global Operations organisation.We business partner with Operations capability areas: Pharmaceutical Technology Development, Manufacturing & Global Engineering, Quality Control, Sustainability, Supply Chain, Logistics and Global External Sourcing and Procurement.We operate out of Operations hubs sites including in the UK, Sweden, US, and China; and out of our Global Technology Centres in India and Mexico.Here our work has a direct impact on patients - transforming our ability to develop life-changing medicines.We empower the business to perform at its peak and lead a new way of working, combining pioneering science with leading digital technology platforms and data.All with a passion to impact lives through data, analytics, AI, machine learning and more.It's a dynamic and challenging environment to work in - but that's why we like it.There are countless opportunities to learn and grow, whether that's exploring new technologies in hackathons, or transforming the roles and work of colleagues, forever.This is your chance to be part of a team that has the backing to innovate, disrupt an industry and change lives.**THIS IS WHAT YOU'LL DO**We are recruiting an Analytics and Engineering Tech Lead join our newly established Data, Analytics & AI group.As part of our transformational journey on Data & AI in Operations, we are taking the steps to advance our Operation Data Hub (ODH) to Data Mesh architecture.ODH exists to give all Operations units access to critical data and analytic tools at pace, accelerating their work on life saving medicines.The vision of ODH is also accelerating Operations's data strategy of making our data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Re-useable (FAIR).This is being achieved through the creation of a distributed data architecture, management of our data and data products will sit at the heart of this.As a Analytics and Engineering Tech Lead, you will support solution development, provide technical leadership, and take responsibility for delivery across many initiatives.You are a T-shaped engineer and leader, a person with a broad range of knowledge and experience across data & analytics, with significant depth in at least one technical area.You will guide and contribute to engineering teams accountable for harvesting, storing, quality checking, transforming, and visualising Operations data, build out reusable data products, which users from Operations units can self-service for analytics and AI/ML workflows.You will also own the engineering standard, processes, engineering roadmap, and work with solution architecture to create a technology roadmap.You will be accountable for the efficient, secure and complaint engineering and running of data products.It is our goal to create scalable solutions to support the development of valuable data products and address broad range of data use cases from Operations, including batch analytics based on data warehousing, data mart and Big Data stack, and emerging use cases on real-time analytics based on streaming.Our technology is focused around the AWS stack, existing technical components include S3, SAP HANA, SAP MDG, SAS DQ, Amazon EMR, Hudi, Qlik Replicate, Qlik Sense, Power BI.Moving forward, we aim to consolidate our technology estate and roll out modern data engineering stack, such as: Snowflake, DBT, DataKitchen, AWS Kinesis.You will provide technical leadership throughout our software development lifecycle, from the initial development of a technical design based on a blueprint, right through to hypercare.The core of our development and support team are based in Chennai, with deep technical expertise based in the UK and Sweden.You will also work closely with the Enterprise Data & AI teams to demonstrate central Enterprise Data Platforms for Data Cataloguing, Master Data Management and Reference Data Management.You will need a collaborative delivery approach to be successful.We prefer to use Agile but choose the appropriate approach for the project.So, experience of a variety of delivery management methodologies would come in useful.**YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE**- Experience with & knowledge in a broad base of data tools, ETL frameworks, monitoring and data technologies, for example our stack includes: SAP HANA, SAP MDG, PowerBI, Qlik Sense, Qlik Replicate, EMR, Hudi, Collibra, Snowflake, DBT, DataKitchen, AWS Kinesis.- Experience of visualisation technologies (we are focused on Power BI and Qlik Sense),- Knowledge of Data Mesh and Data Product, in particular, experience with delivering and managing data products- Knowledge of data architectures, design including dimensional modelling- Knowledge of cloud-based data management services: AWS, or equivalent- Advanced SQL skills- Experience of building scalable high availability analytics solutions- Continuous i
