Career AreaProcurementJob DescriptionYour Work Shapes the World at Caterpillar Inc.When you join Caterpillar, you'rejoining a global team who cares not just about the work we do – but also about each other.We are the makers, problem solvers, and future world builders who are creating stronger, more sustainable communities.We don'tjust talk about progress and innovation here – we make it happen, with our customers, where we work and live.Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it.Role DefinitionPlan and process the purchasing of materials, purchase order generation, track the delivery of new part numbers to assure receipt in accordance with production program requirements from approved requisitions.Assure that problems relating to delivery, pricing and invoicing are promptly conveyed to supplier and resolved in a timely manner per standard procedures to avoid material shortage.What you will doPlan the purchasing of assigned direct material and issue orders specifying all terms and conditions.Track the delivery of all items and keep order dates accurate in the system to react to past due supply chain orders.Place purchase orders and expedite delivery of materials to assure receipt in accordance with production program requirements from approved requisitions.Maintain purchasing and planning ERP order parameters.Establish professional relationships with suppliers and work closely with them to ensure good communication and up-to-date data alignment regarding MOQ's and Lead times for assigned materials.Schedule agreements execution and data governance maintenance.Assure that problems relating to delivery, pricing and invoicing are promptly conveyed to the vendor and resolved in a timely manner per standard procedures to avoid material shortages.Price discrepancy GRIEF resolution.Degree RequirementBachelor's degree in International Business, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration.Advanced English-speaking level is required.Skills you will haveData-driven Decision Making:Knowledge of the data-driven decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to gather and analyze data to make organizational decisions that align with strategic business objectives and goals.Analytical Thinking:Developing and implementing long-term procurement strategies, ability to determine root cause of procurement and sourcing problems to find solutions to resolve problems.Effective Communications:Effectively communicating with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and other departments is vital.Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholdersProcurement:Knowledge of buying and procurement; ability to work with organizational strategies and Purchasing practices and use SAP for buying materials needed to conduct business.Additional InformationThe location for this position is Santa CatarinaThis position will not require travel.Work schedule: 7 am 4pm.Top Candidates will haveExperience in direct purchasingExperience in CDSCaterpillar's Code of Conduct states that we will select, and place employees based on their qualifications for the job to be performed, without regard to race, religion, national origin, color, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, or disability.In this company we do not request pregnancy tests or HIV tests as requirements for entry, permanence, or promotion in employment.Caterpillar is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Qualified applicants of any age are encouraged to apply#J-*****-Ljbffr
