Senior It Developer

Responsibilities Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of our tailor‑made tooling / functionalities complementing the DSV Warehouse Management solution (WMS) Build and support system integrations (e.g., WMS, WCS, WES, TMS, etc.) using APIs, messaging, and data pipelines Refactor legacy .NET and .NET Core applications to Java Analyse processes and system configuration considering relevant parameters Identify functional requirements and develop specifications for necessary software changes Create test scenarios covering application functionality Actively participate in validation, testing, and acceptance processes of subsequent software versions Collaborate with partners and stakeholders for the relevant systems Create and update technical documentation to ensure support for applications Identify and report development‑related risks Recognise business requirements of operational departments Provide IT services in accordance with established operational procedures Collaborate with support teams and provide technical support Accurately report time spent on completing individual tasks according to actual status Comply with internal regulations, procedures, law, and managers’ orders, including labour regulations, remuneration regulations, and the company’s intellectual property protection Demonstrate behaviours and attitudes consistent with the values of DSV Engage in professional skills development through training and continuous self‑education Qualifications Bachelor’s or master’s degree preferably within IT Proficiency in the .NET Framework and .NET Core environment to maintain legacy solutions and refactor them to Java Ability to manage tables and create queries in transactional databases (PostgreSQL, MS SQL, Oracle) Java v.17+ or C# (proficiency in the .NET Framework and .NET Core environment) Experience with Kafka event streaming, preferably Confluent Kafka Knowledge of PL/SQL to create procedures and functions Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio, SQL Server Management Studio, and Oracle SQL Developer Familiarity with the GIT version control system Communicative proficiency in English for effective collaboration in an international environment Analytical skills for efficient problem solving Ability to document projects according to established standards Strong collaboration skills with stakeholders, partners, and peers Innovative thinking and the ability to propose alternative solutions to complex problems Critical thinking; question the as‑is situation and contribute to shaping the to‑be world At least three years of experience as a senior developer DSV – Global transport and logistics.
