Mechanical Engineering Design - CONSTRUCTIONReports to: Engineering Design CoordinatorPosition ObjectiveManage, coordinate, validate, and execute mechanical designs for projects, ensuring safety, delivering efficient and sustainable solutions, and guaranteeing functionality and compliance with both technical project requirements and national/international standards.Main ResponsibilitiesGenerate construction drawings and system diagrams.Perform thermal capacity, flow rate, and mechanical load calculations.Design efficient and sustainable solutions.Ensure compliance with ASHRAE, NOM, and other applicable standards.Select equipment and materials according to project specifications.Coordinate with other disciplines to avoid interferences.Update models and drawings based on technical feedback.Prepare concept catalogs and specifications.Participate in engineering reviews with the design team.Address feedback from builders or supervisors.Collaborate in BIM modeling of mechanical systems.Provide technical support on-site as needed.Generate calculation reports and technical documentation.Adhere to the guidelines of the Integrated Management System.Support the identification of needs and expectations regarding quality, safety, and environment.Assist in establishing occupational health and safety (OHS) policies.Assume roles, responsibilities, and authorities in quality, safety, and environmental matters.Support compliance with legal and other applicable requirements.Contribute to planning and achieving environmental and OHS objectives.Support controls for external contracting, purchasing, and contractors.Assist in measuring and evaluating area processes.Support planning, establishment, implementation, and maintenance of audit programs in quality, environment, and safety.Participate in social support actions, information dissemination, and training.Help determine actions and control measures to eliminate hazards and reduce risks in OHS.Support the identification of environmental aspects and impacts.Technical and Specific RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (degree required).Experience: Minimum 3 years in similar positions.Minimum tenure in previous jobs: 2 years.Advanced English proficiency.Proficient in Revit.Experience with Fathom.Development of P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams).Development of Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs).Sizing of dynamic and static equipment.Thermal and hydraulic calculations.Design of fire protection, plant air, HVAC, and cooling water systems.Proficient in PC and Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Experience with AUTOCADPLANT3D, AFT, BLUEBEAM, NAVIS, CMiC, Project MS.Required SkillsEffective communicationPlanningTactical and operational decision-makingNegotiationProcess control and administrationCognitive flexibilityIntegrityResults-oriented approachProblem-solving and analytical skillsSeniority levelExecutiveEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionProject ManagementIndustriesConstructionReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Empresa Confidencial by 2x#J-*****-Ljbffr
