Database Administrator

About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled **Database Administrator (DBA)** to join our team.This role is essential in ensuring the availability, security, and performance of our databases, which support our SaaS products.The DBA will work closely with development, operations, and product teams to guarantee that data is reliable, accessible, and optimized to meet business needs.Key Responsibilities- Ensure database availability 24/7, addressing issues quickly to minimize service interruptions.- Maintain data integrity through audits and regular checks.- Optimize database performance and propose improvements for efficiency.- Implement security best practices including encryption, access control, and auditing.- Design and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies.- Collaborate with developers to optimize database schemas and queries.- Support operations teams in deploying new databases or SQL Server instances.- Document configurations, maintenance procedures, and recovery strategies.- Monitor performance using SQL Server Profiler, Extended Events, and DMVs.- Automate routine tasks using SQL Server Agent Jobs and scripting.- Configure and manage high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.- Plan for database growth, scalability, and resource allocation.Required Skills & Qualifications- Proven experience as a Database Administrator with SQL Server and MySQL (relational) and exposure to NoSQL databases.- Strong knowledge of SQL query optimization and database tuning.- Experience with high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) implementations.- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).- Understanding of database security practices (encryption, user management, auditing).- Ability to manage large datasets and work with Big Data environments.- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.Preferred Skills- Experience with database automation and monitoring tools.- Knowledge of modern BI and analytics integrations.- Exposure to cross-functional collaboration with development, product, and support teams.What We Offer- Competitive salary package.- Professional growth opportunities.- Collaborative and innovative work environment.- (Add benefits such as health insurance, remote work options, training programs, etc.)Tipo de puesto: Tiempo completoSueldo: $40,****** - $50,****** al mesExperiência:- SQL Server : 5 años (Deseable)- MySQL: 5 años (Deseable)- AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud: 5 años (Deseable)- scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell): 5 años (Deseable)Idioma:- Inglés (Deseable)Lugar de trabajo: remoto híbrido en Metepec, Méx.
