This role is a key member of the management team and serves as the central coordinator for all logistics activities. Responsible for ensuring cross-functional alignment with logistics, and the performance management of the logistics team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong operational mindset, a collaborative leadership style, and a passion for driving continuous improvement across the supply chain function. What You’ll Do Strategic Leadership & Team Development Build and lead a high-performing Logistics team through coaching, goal setting, and talent developmentFoster a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvementChampion GKN Aerospace’s “Great Place to Work” values across all logistics and planning functions Logistics & Inventory Management Lead all logistics operations: freight, inbound/outbound flows, and internal movementsManage distribution planning and constraints to support outbound logisticsInterface with external freight carriers and facilitate deliveries with local stakeholders Performance & Process Optimization Monitor and analyze Logistics Costs.Reduce total logistics costs through process improvements and strategic initiativesEnsure compliance with GKN standards across people, processes, and tools What You Bring 5+ years of experience in logistics leadership, ideally in aerospace or advanced manufacturingBachelor’s degree in Warehouse Logistics, Operations, or related fieldDeep expertise in ERP systemsStrong business acumen and ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authorityProven track record of driving performance, reducing costs, and leading changeUS Person per ITAR regulations to comply with export compliance requirements.
