**Location**: Apodaca, NLE, MX, *******Company**:Corning**Purpose of Position**Manages the development and implementation process of company's products and services involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products.Plans and directs schedules and budgets.Monitors the project from initiation through delivery.**Responsibilities and tasks of the position.**- Develop standard processes, root cause analyses, corrective and preventive actions and continuous improvement procedures.- Define processes, develop procedures, recommend tool changes on new and existing tools and fixtures, etc., to ensure the development of improvement projects.- Coordinate logistics and equipment selection for production, increased capacity requirements, maintaining up-to-date technology.- Reach the level of lean metrics and 6 Sigma goal of the improvement project.- Oversee installation and initial use of new layout to insure proper use, operation and integration into the department.- FAnalyze and solve technical problems, develop specifications, formulate plans, estimate improvements and other required engineering data.- Be accountable for the timely completion of many projects simultaneously.- 5S implementation- Standardized WorkVisual management- Lead time reduction- PEx portfolio achievement- Continuous improvement sponsor**Internal Customers.**- Operators- Supervisors- Engineers- Superintendents- Manufacturing Managers- Planners- Quality department personnel- Configuration personnel- Design personnel**Skill Requirements**- Bachelor degree in an engineering field or equivalent- 5-10 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent.- 5-7 years in engineering areas.- Successes on past engineering projects.- Demonstrate PC skills using software packages.- SAP Knowledge.**Additional Skils**- Priority setting, and identifying and achieving objective.- Presenting skills- Project management experience (3-5 projects at the same time)- SME on Value Stream Mapping- Knowledge of improvement of Information flow and material flow- Expert on looking for and finding improvement projects- Lean Manufacturing SME- Black belt- Experience in Line balancing- Lead time, Downtime and efficiency improvement Expert- Leader of Improvement Team creation and tracking- Expertise on Project documentation- PEx portfolio management- Sponsor of 5S, Visual management and Standardized Work- Track Lean Metrics
