Astute Electronics is a leading global distributor of electronic components.Established in ****, for over three decades, Astute has been a trusted partner to many of the world's largest, most respected defense Primes, OEMs and electronics manufacturers.We have over 200 employees worldwide and operate in more than 25 countries.We're looking for enthusiastic and entrepreneurial individuals to join our team in Guadalajara, Mexico.Continue reading for more information on our Junior Buyer position.The Junior Buyer is an is an entry-level position designed to manage the development of incoming employees new to Astute's core services and/or the industry we perform business in.The goal is to develop skills with an emphasis on sourcing and supplier relationships to increase margin, expand franchise business, uncover opportunities, execute programs, and work toward and contribute to the development of a global sourcing group.In addition, the Junior Buyer role works closely with the Supply Chain Manager, Buyers and Sales to establish, build, manage and develop a strategic sourcing strategy with specific emphasis on PPV/cost reduction sourcing and procurement, for key customers and programs for Astute Electronics Inc.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Source and procure electronic components for shortage and obsolescence RFQs in line with company policy- Protect the company from potential suspect, counterfeit, and non-conforming material by vetting good vendors- Negotiate favorable payment terms with vendors- Investigate and determine root cause for purchase order and invoicing discrepancies- Manage VRMA process (when required)- Field franchise requirements, qualify, quote, and convert- Market and promote Astute brand and focus on franchise lines- Manage purchase price variance (PPV), sourcing, closing, and order management for key customers- Sourcing escalation point for team, develop deep relationships with both franchise and non-franchise business partners- Contribute to individual and company gross profit (GP) targets- Review and clean excel lists, run system data analysis reports and analyze data, formulate sourcing and procurement plan of attack to return targeted quotes from our supply channels which will add unique value to key customer programs**Benefits**:
