Supplier Quality Engineer

Location Latin America, Mexico, Tijuana (INTERCONNECTLATAM Division : Smiths Interconnect) Duties & Responsibilities Define, monitor, analyze and continuously improve supplier quality performance through Performance Excellence activities. Develop improvement plans utilizing DMAIC / LEAN methodologies to drive improvement in Supplier KPIs and process capability. Coach, counsel, and mentor site level and business unit teams to enable supplier quality systems and goal improvements. Lead continuous improvement in Supplier sites using Lean and Six Sigma methods. Lead and mentor teams in problem solving and root cause identification efforts. Work with Global Quality Team to identify and implement global best practices. Manage PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans and other supplier documentation for Global Strategic Suppliers. Assist in new product and process qualification for product performance and manufacturability throughout the New Product Integration process. Travel requirement locally and in the US.
